Sarena Dzamija
30 min

The colorful mosque located in Travnik has always been a special and unavoidable tourist attraction due to its unique and original style. It is adorned with unusual ornaments depicting blossoming trees, vines, and apple trees, and is decorated with calligraphic details in the Arabic language. The mosque was originally built in 1757 and was later restored by Ćamil Ahmed Pasha. He built a bezistan under it that contained ten shops and had two entrances. Additionally, he built another seventy shops around it. As part of the restoration, a fountain with four pipes was also built next to the mosque, and water was brought into it from the existing water supply. After the fire in 1815, Sulejman Pasha Skopljak rebuilt the mosque and it was renamed Sulejmanija in his honor. Sulejman Pasha Skopljak served in Travnik from October 27, 1815, to January 23, 1818. He donated a high Turkish decoration for safekeeping to the mosque and left a rich vizier endowment for the maintenance of the mosque.

Jajce
30 min

Kings strolled through the streets of Jajce in ceremonial attire, their long mantles framed with gold thread, admiring the beautiful landscapes that delighted anyone who visited the city. Even today, Jajce still holds itself in a kingly fashion as you can discover its ancient soul by exploring its 30 national monuments. Have you ever wondered what a king would see when he woke up in the morning in the old fortress? Would he look out at the surrounding waters of Jajce, or perhaps at the peak of Huma or Ranče? Would he admire the city descending towards Pliva, or unknowingly look towards the place where he would be buried? The medieval fortress still boasts the most beautiful view, primarily of the old Bosnian houses and the clock tower. Beyond that, you can see the Orthodox Church of Nativity of the Most Holy Mother of God and the Franciscan monastery that contains the bones of Stjepan Tomašević, the last Bosnian king. His coronation was held near the fortress in the Church of St.

Pliva Waterfall
Admission included30 min

Forget where you came from, what your name is, and what you do. In a word, indulge in amnesia. Turn your brain OFF. Turn the heart on ON. If you want, you can also leave the lungs on ON. You take the best place with a view of the waterfall and enjoy it. That's the only way, following my instructions, you can experience a culture shock. Jajce may have a funny name ( admit it! ), but... I was delighted by that city. I don't know how it is for the citizens of Jajce who are used to that beautiful waterfall, but if I lived in Jajce, I would admire the waterfall every day, every night, maybe even every moment. Guys, it's wonderful. Nothing is as fascinating as the work of nature. Nature is natural!

Mlincici
35 min

The mills are situated five kilometers away from the center of Jajce. They are built of oak wood and are an excellent example of traditional construction methods and local carpentry skills. The water mills were built on a travertine barrier between the Great and Small Pliv lakes. According to data from 1562, there were 24 mills in Jajce at that time, six of which were not in operation. However, by the 17th century, the number had increased to 26. Although the mills are no longer in use, they remain an integral part of the unique panorama of the Pliva lakes. Wealthy landowners owned the mills and gave them to the local population for use. The tax on the mills was paid in flour. For centuries, people from the surrounding villages brought full sacks of grain and wheat on horses, which they ground in the mills and took home as flour. The historical significance of the mills, as a reflection of the former Bosnian tradition of work and way of life, resulted in their restoration in 2005.

Štrbacki Buk is one of the most impressive and well-known waterfalls in the Una National Park, located on the Una River. The waterfall has two parts, the upper and lower, with a total height of 25 meters. Surrounded by untouched nature and dense forest, Štrbacki Buk offers a unique experience to visitors. They can enjoy the beautiful view of the falling water, the enchanting noise, and the mystical atmosphere created by the environment. Many visitors to the Una National Park consider Štrbacki Buk to be one of the main attractions in the area. The Štrbački buk is the tallest waterfall on the Una river. It is a stunning natural beauty which was formed due to tectonic movements and the deposition of sedimentary rock-turpentine over thousands of years. This geological phenomenon has made the Una river even more beautiful, with its exceptional purity and emerald green color. A 400-meter-long promenade was built around Štrbački buk, which provides easier access for visitors..

I Got Into the Car With a Tour Guide and Came Back With a Friend ❤️

I had a truly wonderful and unforgettable day with Adis. I am incredibly grateful for this experience, grateful for having had the opportunity to see all these beautiful places, and even more grateful for having met Adis. I am genuinely happy that I chose to take this trip with him. Adis not only planned and organized everything perfectly, but he is also an incredibly kind and warmhearted person. He is attentive, communicative, friendly, patient, understanding, and always willing to help. I can honestly say: I got into the car with a tour guide and came back with a good friend. And personally, that means just as much to me as the wonderful trip itself. Every place we visited was absolutely breathtaking. Because of the distances covered during the day, you naturally have to keep an eye on the time, even though you could easily spend an entire day at each individual location. Nevertheless, there is more than enough time to enjoy every place and truly take in the experience. Adis is incredibly patient and considerate. He gives you the time you need to look around, take photos, enjoy the surroundings, or stop to buy something along the way. Even though there was naturally a schedule to follow, I never once felt rushed or stressed. I would also particularly like to mention that Adis is the only one offering this tour to Štrbački Buk, and he truly makes sure that the experience becomes something you will never forget. He even took drone footage for us during the trip and was always there whenever we needed anything. You can genuinely feel that he cares not only about providing a great tour, but also about the people he is travelling with. I have truly grown fond of both the beautiful places we visited and Adis himself, and I would be very happy to experience more trips with him in the future. Because travelling with Adis does not feel like travelling with an ordinary tour guide. It feels like travelling with a good friend, or even with family. I wish Adis nothing but the very best, especially good health, happiness, and continued success. I can wholeheartedly recommend him and his tours to anyone. Thank you for an unforgettable day, my friend! ❤️

Operator response

❤️ Your words truly touched me. Sometimes a tour becomes much more than visiting beautiful places it becomes about the people you meet along the way. I’m incredibly grateful that our day at Štrbački Buk and Jajce brought us to that kind of connection. It was a genuine pleasure spending the day with you, and I’m happy to call you a friend. 🚁🇧🇦 Until our next adventure!

Amazing experience chasing waterfalls in Bosnia!

This was by far my favorite tour in Bosnia! It felt more like a friend showing you around his country than an actual guided tour. Adis was very personable and really looked out for your needs, even supplying food, snacks, wet wipes, and water in the car. As a former photographer, he was very knowledgeable about the hidden natural beauties in Bosnia and so all the sights we went to were great for pictures and not so crowded. I would highly highly recommend this tour to anyone!

Operator response

Thank you so much for your wonderful review! 😊 It truly means a lot to hear that this was your favorite tour in Bosnia. My goal is always to make guests feel like they are exploring the country with a local friend, not just joining a standard tour, so your words really made my day. I’m very happy you enjoyed the waterfalls, the hidden natural spots, and the peaceful locations away from the crowds. Bosnia and Herzegovina has so many beautiful places, and it was a pleasure sharing them with you through my photography experience and local knowledge. Thank you as well for your kindness and recommendation. I hope the memories and photos from Strbacki Buk and Jajce will stay with you for a long time, and you are always welcome back to Bosnia anytime! Warm regards, Adis

Amazing and incredible experience in Bosnia

Amazing views and I would consider this spot as a must-go place in Bosnia. Day tour was well-planned. I had plenty of time to take good pictures (thanks to the good weather) and did not need to stay in a place longer than I would like to throughout the trip as this is a private tour - which gives a lot of flexibility to me. Adis is very friendly and talkative. I would treat Adis as a friend more than a tour guide. He is also a very passionate person and hopes to show the best to every traveller. Highly recommended.

Operator response

Adis will be so happy to hear that he made the experience feel friendly and flexible for you. We’re lucky to have him, and it’s wonderful to know he helped you feel more like a friend than just a traveler. Thank you for recognizing his passion and for the recommendation! We hope to welcome you back to Bosnia for more adventures someday. Until then, safe travels and happy memories! Warm regards

Una National Park

Una National Park was 5 hours away, but Adis was the guy for the job. He picked a good lunch near Jajce and found a bakery for snacks. The waterfalls were easily worth the money, and he helped me get in good positions for photos.

Operator response

Dear Shon, Thank you so much for your wonderful review! 🌿 I'm thrilled to hear that you enjoyed your day trip to Una National Park and the stunning Štrbački Buk waterfalls. It was a pleasure guiding you through the journey and helping you capture those special moments. 😊 I'm glad the lunch stop in Jajce and the bakery snacks added to the experience—Bosnian hospitality is all about finding the perfect balance between nature and great food! 🍽️ Your kind words truly mean a lot, and I hope to welcome you back for more adventures in the future. Wishing you safe travels and many more beautiful memories! Warm regards, Adis
