From Banff: Moraine Lake and Lake Louise Half Day Tour

Always go to lake Louise in the morning. Afternoons are quite busy at the lake . Some food is available at the hotel. Our guide was very ice and knowledgeable. Very good driver too

This is a shuttle, not a guided tour. Plenty of time at each stop. Lake Louise first stop so have lunch at the Fairmont Chateau Lakeview Lounge. Second stop Lake Moraine. Be sure and walk all the way down the path for the money shot.

Operator pickup never happened. Time was changed 10pm the day prior with lack of communication. I showed up to the pickup location and was left hanging dry, my entire preplanned vacation day ruined.

Excellent tour. Driver was very professional. The early morning trip was the best way to see without all of the crowds.

Bus was 40 minutes late but driver was very nice and helpful. Both lakes were very crowded. I wouldn’t take this tour again

Horrible! They canceled our trip the night before and rescheduled our time for 1:30 instead of 10:00am due to bus Maintenance. Since we left so late, we were rained out at Lake Louise and to go into our bus and wait till it was time to leave. Very irritating since we had to cancel other plans to make this work 🙁

The visit time at each site is quite short. Do not linger if you want to enjoy and hike along the lakes

On arriving in Banff we heard that getting to Moraine Lake was tricky given closure to public vehicles and that the easiest way was to book a shuttle. As our plans changed last minute we were please to be able to book a shuttle at short notice with this company. Everything was confirmed for a 10 am pick up from Banff Railway Station and we sat there from 09;30 as requested waiting for our transport to arrive. After seeing numerous coaches come and go we started to get nervous and tried to contact the supplier. Phones just rang out and we couldn’t get hold of anyone. Finally we got Get Your Guide, who we booked through involved. They advised that the supplier had moved the pick up to 7:30am. They had apparently sent us a message at 9pm the night before completely disregarding the fact that getting emails and messages in some accommodation is difficult. The company had clearly over booked or messed up but they had accepted our booking and changed it at ridiculously short notice. They showed no regret and didn’t apologise just offering an alternative pick up much later in the day. We used the local Tourist Information to book something else through a company called Fairview who were absolutely superb. Definitely would not recommend using these guys. Drive to Lake Louise Inn and use Fairview.

Trip was fine. Some thoughts on communication. Got a WhatsApp from driver that trip need to move up earlier(7:30) due to mechanic issues but then communicated no changed. Was a bit confused since it was post 11pm text and a call after 12 am. Message was not receive till early morning. Morning of, Driver was late for meet up point post 10am when direction asked to be in area 30 minutes before departure. There could be more Proactive communication and more directions or later meeting time if driver does not get there as expected time frame.
