The visit to Guadalest, a magnificent, peaceful, and green landscape. You have to climb to get to the castle; the tour of the castle, 4 euros for admission (bring a credit card), is interesting. There are a lot of people at the Fonts d’Algar. I didn't dare take photos for fear of getting my phone wet. The water was surprisingly cold, 16-17 degrees. (water shoes are welcome for this experience)
It was good, but difficult for the Algar waterfalls, it was crowded. But super nice guide
Ok day trip if you enjoy sitting in a bus, where you cant eat or drink (temp +32 & diabetic). You have lots of information on the areas history which is great, but no info of the travel time to next stop. Luckily we had air con, but no outlets for phone charging, so power bank is good to pack with you. Information also said to bring your own food and drinks 'cause you cant get those on the destinations (what? In2026?) So I did, a lot for the whole day and emergency food too. Just to discover you cant eat them on the bus. Only outside, but not inside the locations, it's prohibited. Theres planty of food to buy tho. Plenty. No need for snacks of your own that you must carry for kilometers.*Sigh Guadalest was beautiful, "bring good shoes" wasn't a joke. The amount of stairs and ascending and descending and ascending again was NOT a joke. Luckily we had an escape for the coolness of 0.0 beer and lovely shops! And then, the climbing continued at the waterfalls, no shoes were left dry of water or mud nor did they do any use because the walking "paths" were mostly full of little mount everests or hanging shaky bridges. Dear me. And the amount of people there didn't make the swimming experience that serene, but lovely, pure, cold water tho <3 Waterfalls are quite exaggeration, little brooklets maybe, but nice still. If you want to have lunch etc go soon after arrival, lines are long and service slow. Especially Restaurant right after entrance "La Fonts" has really rude service or no service at all. Enjoy!
Fantastic experience. beautiful and unforgettable places..super kind and expert guide..great price for a great tour
The experience was wonderful thanks to the guide! In my case it was in Spanish and honestly it was worth it, the only thing I would modify would perhaps be the time at the Algar fountains!! I was left wanting more, but otherwise phenomenal.
Perfect for solo travellers looking to see places without a worry of getting lost or trouble travelling Highly recommend going up to the castle, it isn’t as many steps as it looks!
Top-notch experience! Magnificent landscapes, a small village with a very medieval charm with restaurants, small souvenir shops, as well as a splendid view of a turquoise blue lake. The icing on the cake is that the walk ends at a magnificent waterfall with small natural water pools where it is possible to swim. The water is pure and you immediately feel refreshed there. Awesome!
Superb experience with magnificent landscapes. We have free time, restaurants, and souvenir shops at both sites to visit. Don't forget your non-slip shoes for the waterfall, sneakers, a hat or cap, and something to hydrate and snack on. The bus was very clean with air conditioning as well. I highly recommend this activity
It was magnificent, thank you to you
