Its a fantastic experience, very bubbly and light atmosphere while learning about- and how to cook paella. Huge thanks for Andrea!!!
We took a cooking class with our family at Alicante Tasting Club. We received a warm welcome from Olivera at the covered market. While buying the last fresh ingredients, Olivera shared some fascinating stories about the local history, making the experience both interesting and enjoyable. Back at the cooking studio, Olivera explained with incredible passion and a great sense of humour how to prepare a traditional Alicante-style paella. Everything was fresh and full of flavour. While enjoying a delicious drink and some tapas, we chopped the ingredients, tasted them along the way, and finally brought everything together to create the dish. And of course, we thoroughly enjoyed eating it afterwards! In short, it was a fantastic afternoon with an enthusiastic chef, full of passion and just the right amount of humour. For us as a family, this experience is an absolute must and we highly recommend it!
We had such a wonderful time at this cooking workshop with Olivera and her team! We started with a visit to the local market with Olivera, who shared lots of interesting insights and made the experience even more special. Afterwards, we headed to the studio, where Olivera enthusiastically explained the traditional way of preparing paella. We prepared all the fresh ingredients together and then got to work. While cooking, we were treated to delicious drinks and enjoyed a fantastic atmosphere. It was a truly memorable experience, with a lovely group of people, great company, and, of course, an absolutely delicious paella! A big thank you to Olivera and her team for making it such a fun, warm, and unforgettable experience. We highly recommend it!
This was a great time. Highly recommended. Our guide and instructor, Olivera, made the whole experience really fun as well as informative and instructional. 5 stars to her and the whole experience. And, it ends with a wonderful meal prepared by the whole team.

We had a really nice experience with Olivera and Marie-Angeles! Learned a lot about the food culture of Alicante and how to cook Paella properly. We had a really good time!

Olivera and Mari Angeles were great hosts and teachers. We had a wonderful afternoon learning about local cuisine, history and culture. Thank you!
We had an absolutely wonderful experience discovering Alicante’s cuisine thanks to Olivera, our small, friendly and genuinely warm guide. She never stops talking — but only because she is so passionate about introducing the market stalls in the central market that supplied all the ingredients for the paella we would later prepare. Local vegetables, meat and fish from generations of market vendors who still take real pride in delivering quality products. After the lively market tour, we smoothly made our way to the tasting club kitchen. It’s a beautiful, fresh and cosy space. We were welcomed with a drink and a little snack, washed our hands, put on our aprons and got ready to cook. Olivera gave us a clear and expert explanation of all the ingredients and how to prepare a traditional Alicante-style paella. I also have to congratulate her on how many languages she speaks! As a Belgian family, it was especially lovely for our children to be spoken to in Dutch. Spanish, English… everything came so naturally to her. We prepared the paella with full respect for tradition, and both the presentation and the taste were outstanding. From the very first bite we closed our eyes in pure enjoyment. We felt so proud of the result and immediately started planning to try making it at home! A huge thank you to Olivera and her assistants for this fantastic experience. Highly recommended!!
10.001 stars! I definitely recommend!
