Don’t miss this tour. We were lucky, Flor, was our guide. She’s knowledgeable, friendly, kind, patient. It was a hot and extremely humid day but she accommodated all the different physical concerns of our group. From the historical walk around Alicante’s old town to the Santa Barbara Castle, she shared a wealth of information and welcomed and answered all questions. For those who stayed in Alicante after the tour ended, she provided more information to get to their places of interest in and around town. A bus picked us up from the port for the 5 minute or so ride into town. After our walk, the bus drove us to Santa Barbara Castle and afterwards, the bus dropped those who wanted to stay in town back in town and brought the rest of us back to the cruise ship. Please note, the walkways in the historic area are cobble stones, uneven in many places. Santa Barbara Castle also is cobbled, uneven in many places and a steep walk in several places to the top of the castle. There is an elevator for those who require assistance to almost the top (though not the top). The views are amazing from the castle!

Flor was our tour guide, and she's the best. She is very knowledgeable, personable, and accommodating. Our bus driver was late, so took th Spain's oldest, hence best Horchateria in Spain, and bought us all Horchata. My wife's recovering from surgery, and her mobility iit and Flor took care of her like a meticulous mother hen.

Even though it was a very hot day, we had a wonderful tour of the highlights of Alicante. Our guide, Flor, was very knowledgeable and attentive to our group. We got to walk the streets of the city, heard about the festivals held in the city, saw the bull fight stadium and the Mercado. The highlight was seeing the castle above the city and learning about the legend of the Moor that tells how the city got its name. We couldn’t have asked for a better small group tour.

Our guide, Flor, was very knowledgeable and did a great job showing the highlights of Alicante and Santa Barbara Castle. This is a walking tour. The castle requires steep walking over cobble, but there is a lift for those with limitations. Pick up and drop off at the cruise port was smooth and convenient. Truly appreciated the transportation up & down from the castle.
