Description
Enjoy a quintessential lowcountry cruise through the salt marshes of one of Charleston’s most scenic rivers where we see multiple dolphin sightings on 99% of our tours! The waters here are calm and less crowded with land always in sight making this private tour more relaxing, intimate, and enjoyable! You will be onboard a 27’ Coast Guard Certified vessel. “Marsh Mama” is designed with an open concept. She has comfortable cushioned seats, and Bluetooth stereo for your enjoyment. Spacious coolers with ice and waters will be provided. You are welcome to bring whatever food and drink you’d like! (BYOB) Your captain will be experienced, knowledgeable, and fun. He will keep you safe, teach you interesting facts, and take great care of you. Your captain has a Masters License. The tour is great for guests of all ages! It is perfect for families, friends, and celebrations! You can even bring your pet! Inquire for group rates for up to 20 guests.

Itinerary
We will depart from the dock and enjoy a leisurely 30 minute cruise through the salt marshes of one of Charleston’s most scenic rivers. You will see a wide array of local wildlife including the Atlantic Bottlenose Dolphin and numerous species of beautiful estuary birds. Upon arrival to Morris Island, an uninhabited barrier island, you will have a breathtaking view of the famous Morris Island Lighthouse. If the tide isn’t too high, you will have the opportunity to take a stroll on the beach to search for sea shells and sharks teeth, take photos, and soak up the natural beauty of this unique setting. After exploring Morris Island, we will make our way back to the dock via Lighthouse House Inlet and The Folly River.

It was an amazing...
It was an amazing excursion .My guide was so nice and friendly and showed everything properly .Heart is so full .We spotted dolphins ,saw Morris Island Lighthouse.Its worth every dollar .Hughly recommend

Amazing Adventure
The Captain was fantastic! He made our experience worth every penny. We saw many dolphins, various birds, and even a lighthouse. He was knowledgeable and fun. We had an amazing time and cannot thank him enough. Hope to return soon.

Best time ever
It was fabulous and definitely will do it again ! Informative , fun and just breathtaking sites ! Our guide was so informative and very educated in the marine world and the history of south carolina learned alot all while having a great time ! Nick was amazing ! Such a great experience there is literally nothing bad or negative to write ! Just go do it ! You will not regret it at all

Best part of Charleston vacation 2026
We took entire family of 12 on July 9. Capt. Jody was awesome . He engaged all the kids and kept us all interested. Very knowledgeable of the area and native animals . Well worth the money . Hopefully others will enjoy him .

We had such a great morning with Captain D! We chose the early morning private tour to beat the afternoon heat, and it was definitely the right decision. The weather was beautiful, the scenery was incredible, and we really enjoyed the conversation along the way. We were lucky enough to see several dolphins, and our stop at Morris Island was a huge success—we found multiple shark teeth and had so much fun exploring the beach. From the smooth pick-up to the easy drop-off, everything was seamless and stress-free. Overall, it was an amazing experience, and Captain D made the trip both relaxing and memorable. We highly recommend this tour to anyone looking for a fun and enjoyable way to experience Charleston from the water!

Highly recommend!
We booked a private tour and it was worth every penny. Nick was amazing and we enjoyed the ride tremendously. Saw a good number of dolphins and learned a lot about the area too. Perfect length of time on the boat too, about 1.5 hours. Highly recommend! Thank you Nick for a fun adventure!

Captain D Is Awesome
It is truly an amazing experience! The weather was iffy and Captain D gave us all kinds of options and guidance- despite a few raindrops, it was a SPECTACULAR EXPERIENCE- Dolphins, tons of sea-loving birds, beautiful views and a 150 yr old lighthouse. Highly recommended!!
