Florence Palazzo Davanzanti and David Tour
Paul was an exceptional tour guide, we have experienced other one to one tours but this was the best ever. Paul challenges your thinking, considering your thoughts so you have an unquestionable understanding of how Florence evolved over the ages.
Paul took us on a journey from the Ancient Roman days, the Middle Ages into the golden era of the Renaissance. Viewing the ancient Palazzo, regaling the history of the rich merchant and his life in Florence was illuminating. I now have a deeper understanding of the icons reflected in the art and can now see the messages in every painting I see! The David tour was equally exceptional with such deep appreciation of the genius and passion of Michelangelo Grazie Mille Paul, it was a tour I will never forget and the most memorable I have experienced in all of Italy!

Paul Acosta Tuscan tours... THE BEST!!
I could not have appreciated Florence without Angelo's expertise. We were a group from 17 to 78 and it got for us all!! We blended the city your with the foodie tour..5 hours!! Was perfect!
Or 2nd tour was Tuscany .... it was also incredible! We loved SanGimignano and the vineyard where we had a short tour and an amazing Italian meal and wine!
I would recommend Paul Acosta company to anyone. Easy to work with, good communication and honest!

Fantastic tours of Rome!
We met Paul about 6 years ago on his tour of Florence and David. It was so awesome, so I kept his biz card. We returned to Italy this past July, this time visiting Rome before a cruise. I reached out to Paul, and he arranged 2 private tours and a private transfer to the cruise port in Civitevecchia. Day 1 was a tour of the Vatican museum, and our guide was fantastic. She customized it based on what we wanted to see. Day 2 was another private tour of Rome underground, and what a wonderful surprise! Paul had recommended this as something a little different, and it was an outstanding journey through the history of Rome and we went deeper and deeper into the underground areas. We visited during a horrific heat wave, so this was also a fantastic way to beat the heat. The last day was a private ground transfer via a fantastic driver and a spotless, new BMW minivan, very comfortable. Can’t say enough good things about the arrangements, all were flawless. Paul was not in Rome at the time, but he was always available via WhatsApp. If you want tours with guides who are very knowledgeable about Roman art and culture, reach out to Paul - you won’t regret it!

Best Way to Experience Florence!
It had been 10+ years since I had been to Florence - and when I began planning a return trip with my family I knew exactly who I wanted to be our guide. Paul was our guide 10 or so years ago and knew we would have the richest experience with him. He listened to our list of wants and must do’s and made it happen! His knowledge is so broad and deeply rooted in art and the history of Florence, it like being transported back in time. It ignited such a love for art and art history that family members talked about going back to study art history in Florence. You can tell his is well known and respected in the region. He even helped us secure dinner reservations when there were no openings. The only thing I would do differently is stay longer and learn more from Paul!

An unforgettable day in Florence
Our family had the exceptional experience of exploring Florence for the day under Paul's masterful tutelage. Paul is much more than a tour guide: he is a gifted educator and true ambassador for the city's food, art, history, and culture. His passion is genuine and infectious. His approach to art brought it to life in a way that literally transformed how we view and relate to Renaissance art from that day forward. Importantly, Paul deftly customized the experience to meet our family's interest, pace and background - engaging and enriching us all. His warmth, excellence, and genuine love for the city, its history, and many, many treasures made our day with Paul a truly unforgettable experience. For any family our group looking to experience Florence at its fullest, Paul is your guide. Be prepared to go on a journey you'll never forget! You'll be grateful you did. We certainly are!

Best guide in Italy
If you want an excellent and very knowledgeable tour guide, Paul is your guide! He’s not only knowledgeable about the art and history of Florence and the surrounding areas but he’s also engaging and pulls you in by asking you questions, wanting you to know more. Our family has used Paul, and some of the guides who work for him, multiple times in the past five years and compared to other guides, he’s the absolute best. You won’t be sorry you chose Paul, I guarantee it!!

A must do tour in Florence
We had the absolute pleasure of taking a private, tailored tour of Florence with Paul and it was nothing short of amazing. From the very first minute, Paul’s passion for Florence, his deep knowledge of art and history, and his warm, engaging personality made the experience unforgettable.
He crafted a tour perfectly suited to our interest, weaving together fascinating stories about the Renaissance, local life and hidden corners most people walk right by.
His explanation about the art and Michelangelo’s David were captivating - clear, insightful and full of humor.
By the end of our tour we felt like we had not just explored Florence, but truly understood it, thanks to Paul’s expertise and genuine love for the city.
If you are looking for a personalized high quality tour we recommend Paul of Tuscantourguide.com. He was the best tour guide I have ever had.

Paul Costa and Tuscan Tour Guide
I'd rather be hiking in the mountains for 4-6 hours than visit an art museum. After 1 to 2 hours in an exhibit, reading almost all the text, I come away, tired and remembering almost nothing.
Paul Costa was our guide at the Uffizi Gallery in Florence while on a Rick Steve's tour (known for partnering with high quality local guides). His presentation was so informative and interesting that my wife & I hired him for an additional hour (that's all the extra time he had) for a private tour. I couldn't believe that Medieval and Renaissance art would be so interesting. He made the museum and the artwork come alive. If he held an art appreciation class, I would take it. Hopefully, you will be lucky enough to have him as your guide.
