Not to be missed experience in Rio. Erica was amazing organising it for us, very responsive and proactive. Mauricio our guide was excellent, real fun! Will never forget it!
The didi guide made our tour very special, we love it and we will definitely do it again!
The attention, service, and willingness of the guide and each of the people on the tour was excellent
a very beautiful tour, excellent service, and very good people
Micaela and Didi were our guides. Excellent experience, we felt safe all the tour. Good explanaition.
Very good, clear and objective explanation, very attentive and receptive.
Good service. Brazilians should have priority in the explanation. You shouldn't start with another language.
Absolutely fantastic—one of the best tours we’ve done. A huge thank you to Aline, who was incredibly friendly, knowledgeable, and happy to answer all of our questions. She really made the experience even more enjoyable. If you’re concerned about the ethical side of visiting a favela, this tour is thoughtfully run. Rather than focusing on poverty, it highlights the community’s culture, entrepreneurship, resilience, and the inspiring ways residents are building their lives. Safety was also handled very well throughout the tour. The guide checked in and out at designated checkpoints, carried out regular head counts, and made sure everyone stayed together. We felt safe the entire time. One thing to be aware of is that the tour passes through an area where drug trafficking is present, and you may see people carrying firearms or openly handling drugs. While this was managed safely as part of the guided route and we never felt threatened, it can be confronting. Because of that, I’d personally recommend the tour for ages 15+ rather than younger children. At the end of the tour, you also have the option to ride a motorbike down the hill for an extra R$10. It was such a fun experience and absolutely worth it. I couldn’t recommend this tour more. If you’re deciding between options—choose this one!
Amazing, super worth it. I did the best guide
Everything was very nice and we learned a lot about the culture housed in there.
