When I arrived at the Museum reading room the staff person told me this tour is not a tour that the Museum supports or any other external digital platform. I had downloaded the app with the tour on as I had paid for this tour, I tried to follow it. It wasn't easy to follow, find rooms and artifacts. I gave up on the tour and looked around on my own with out the commentary.
Thanks for the honest feedback, sorry the visit didn't go the way you'd hoped. One thing worth clearing up: we've never presented ourselves as an official British Museum tour, and our listing doesn't claim any museum affiliation. We're an independent audio guide, written by people who love the place which is exactly why entry isn't included and why staff wouldn't have us on their books. The navigation point is fair, though, and we're taking it seriously. Finding your way to specific rooms and objects should be effortless, and we're improving the in-app directions.
