Tour was great but DO NOT do pictures. We never received our pictures even after numerous emails. The pictures were supposed to be sent via email but nothing.
My experience at Rincón Thermals & Adventure had some very good aspects, but unfortunately also several important points that should be improved, especially regarding service and staff supervision. From our arrival, the service from the reception staff was excellent. The place is also very beautiful and has a lot of potential: the hot springs, the volcanic mud, the activities, and the food are truly enjoyable. In fact, the food was very delicious. However, when it came time to take the tours, the experience changed quite a bit. The behavior of some of the guides seemed too informal and unprofessional to me. During the activities, they were seen playing around and distracted in front of the clients, when I believe they should be much more attentive to safety and to providing a professional experience. During the canopy tour, one of my companions had an accident with their hands. One of the things that worried us the most was the lack of proper inspection of the provided equipment. We even tried to request a change of equipment and the situation was not resolved in an appropriate manner. Since it is an adventure activity, I consider that safety and equipment inspection should be an absolute priority. We also had issues during lunch. Some dishes for the group arrived first, while other people had to wait approximately 15 additional minutes, causing the group to be unable to eat at the same time. Another aspect that really caught our attention was the trip to the hot springs. At a certain point there were no guides available and those who ended up doing part of the orientation were the drivers themselves in charge of transporting the visitors from the hotels. They did their best to help, but obviously their main role is to drive, not to replace the local guides. In general, I feel that the main problem with Rincón Termal Adventure is not its facilities or its activities, because the place is really beautiful and has a lot to offer. The problem lies in the customer service, the organization, the staff supervision and, mainly, the safety management during the activities. It is a shame because it could be an excellent experience. I believe that with better supervision of the guides, greater professionalism, stricter safety controls and better coordination of the restaurant service and the tours, the place could improve a lot. I hope you take this type of feedback as an opportunity for improvement, because there are many details that are currently being overlooked and that end up considerably affecting the visitor's experience.
Excellent Experience. A great day excursion. The hot springs is a great way to wind down the day.
Fabulous day -- ziplining through 8 courses; horseback riding; the 1/4-mile-long winding and super-fast water slide that tried to kill me but didn't LOL; waterfalls; pretty paved paths; cultural sampling -- a full and satisfying day -- thanks!
very good experience and nice guides! Sergio was a very good driver!! definitely recommend
We didnt know exactly what to expect when we booked. When we arrived we were blown away at the facility and staff. We have done other activities in Puntarenas and none had the amenities that Rincon has. The day started with a trail ride up the mountain on some beautiful horses that were super well trained. We have experience on horses but if you dont these are good for any level rider. At the top we had our own private zip line experience as it was off season and we were the only two in our group. The Zip line guys were great and made sure we were comfortable and we had a blast. The final planned activity was the water slide. The water slide is crazy, It is really long and fast and there is a reason you need a helmet, elbow pads, and an inner tube. I recommend going down it just be prepared that its aggressive and will have your adrenalin pumping. Then we had a cultural learning session and got detailed information on the sugar cane, coffee, and local baking. The culture lesson included a segment on Cacique Guaro the Costa Rican liquor if you are into that (we were). The afternoon was spent at the Hot Spring pools. They have multiple pools in varying temperatures, Volcanic mud rub, and finish off in the stream under the waterfall. Overall I would recommend this activity and I will recommend it to our guest that visit our Hermosa house.
We had a great time at Rincon with the explorer day pass. I almost missed out on the zip lining, but I did it and had the best time ever. Great food and great staff. Definitely a must if you come to Guanacaste/Liberia.
Great Experience.. 10 out of 10
Beautiful full day with far more than I expected for the price. Wonderful activities and knowledgeable and entertaining tour guides. This was likely the best part of my trip. I will be back with friends again!
