You will discover natural scenery of extraordinary beauty, including the lunar landscapes around the Silvestri Craters and the semi-desert area of the volcanic caldera “Valle del Bove” ( Valley of the Ox).

During your visit to Etna you will come across a unique view and you can admire the immense expanse of the Valley of the Ox , an ancient volcanic caldera formed 10,000 years ago.

Along the way you will be able to observe the lava flows dating back to different ages, real evidence of the intense volcanic activity of Etna that has gone through centuries of history such as volcanic bombs, craters and various lateral craters.
With a walk between craters of old formation and those of more recent formation, you will cross the area affected by the lava flow generated by the 1991/93 eruption and you will reach the Sapienza Refuge at an altitude of 2000 meters.

Wonderful Sunset on Mount Etna
We did the sunset tour on Mount Etna and it was "simply" wonderful!! The trekking is not very demanding and is suitable for everyone.
Salvatore (Ture) was our guide, and we really liked him a lot. They are an exquisite and very interesting person; in addition to guiding us on the trek, they explained the history of Mount Etna and its evolution over time in a very simple and understandable way, as well as providing some information on the local flora and fauna.
If we were to return to Catania or the surrounding area, we would definitely organize another tour with Excursion Etna; I highly recommend it to everyone!

Great half a day tour to visit Etna
The tour was really good, our guide, Gaetano was well prepared, he has a lot of knowledge about Etna and the surroundings. Even though the weather was not the best, it was a great experience.

Discovering Idda, Mount Etna
Beautiful experience with a friendly and competent guide. Gaetano showed us and told us with passion the wonders of our volcano Etna.
The Valle del Bove, the Grotta Cassone, the Silvestri Craters have been told and rediscovered with enthusiasm in a very pleasant excursion at sunset.

A great experience
Our guide was very helpful, giving a lot of information. The descent into a lava tunnel was worth it!. 4.5 hours tour was juast enough!

Very beautiful discovery of Etna
