We were very excited for the rainforest but 45 minutes prior to the start time- I was messaged that someone called off and our excursion wasn’t available. (Glad we had WiFi in the cruise ship or we wouldn’t have known it was cancelled). Utopia tours. They offered us the “ Indian cave” excursion as a replacement. Since my booking wasn’t cancelled and reissued, I can’t leave a review on the Indian cave excursion. I told them we absolutely needed to be back by 5 pm and they assured me we would. We were driven about 1.5 hours away and stopped at some water hole where people swim. We only had 20 minutes so we did nothing. Then stopped at a waterfall that was very muddy for 15 minutes. We finally arrived at the “caves” and were told we were hiking the “free” way instead of paying entrance fees at the park entrance. There were very sharp rocks all the way up the side of a cliff. The tour guide did not seem concerned at anyone’s abilities to handle this. It was scenic but the anxiety of someone getting very injured made it impossible to enjoy. We were very concerned with getting back on time- then the driver said he had to meet someone and we sat at a gas station for a half hour. We got back very close to boarding time. Too close for my comfort being a non cruiseline excursion.

Richard was the best , great guide! Took our photos and picks you up and take you back and stops for food and the beach !
GREAT experience! The rain forest has clean water and no mosquitoes! The rock slides do not hurt! My opinion the #1 thing to do in Puerto Rico!
It was a fantastic experience, our tour guide Richard. He was so helpful and making sure we had the best experience in time in Puerto Rico highly recommend him to be your tour guide for this activity.
It is a physical activity. You need to hike the rainforest. But it was a lot of fun! My kids had a blast and Luquillo beach was beautiful. The grandparents were able to hike it but didn’t swim in El Yunque because of the physical activity involved. Everyone enjoyed the beach.
The experience was the perfect gift for my birthday . Richard our tour guide was phenomenal !! He made our trip memorable and priceless !!
