Itinerary
Your cruise starts at Aquarium Wharf, where you'll board your genuine tall ship, powered only by Mother Nature and her incredible wind power. Once on board, watch the crew hoist the sails. Travel through waters that Blackbeard once anchored in, relax on deck, and imagine a time when the harbor was filled with these magnificent ships. You may bring your own food on board, if you wish, but not drinks; beer, wine, and soft drinks are available for purchase on board at your own expense.
While this is not a narrated cruise, the incredible crew is happy to answer questions about some of Charleston's most historic landmarks that you will see, such as Patriots Point and the USS Yorktown, an Essex-class aircraft carrier that played an important role during World War II.
Don't forget about Charleston's own modern marvel with an up-close look at the impressive Arthur Ravenel Jr. Bridge, one of the longest cable-stayed bridges in the western hemisphere. You're welcome to help raise and trim the sails, or you may sit back and enjoy the ride.
See beautiful homes that line the Battery and famous Fort Sumter, where the first shots of the Civil War were fired, and watch for pelicans performing diving acts.

Bring your own water and snacks. They have but very expensive. Other than that the trip was wonderful
Very peaceful afternoon on the sailing ship. Crew was wonderful. Very few on the boat. Well worth it. Could have stayed out there all day.
No, I would not recommend this tour. I expected this to include a knowledgeable tour guide that would give the history associated with the area as we were sailing. Instead, once we got started the captain stated in a very matter fact way to not except him to give any guide of the area while on the sail boat. When I did ask him a question about the area of land in the water ahead of us, he was very condescending. Even though both crew members were young and not originally from the area, they did their best if asked a question. For this tour to be $50 per person I expected much more for my money, very disappointed.
Awesome Schooner ride, staff and crew were great, I highly recommend this excursion. Saw a few dolphins, but the sailboat was top notch.
Wonderful way to spend a warn, sunny afternoon. See the sights of Charleston from a different perspective.
It was a little difficult finding the boat but once we did, we had a great experience. The crew was just talkative enough but we were still able to relax in the sun. Bathroom on the boat was clean and in orderly fashion and we couldn't have asked for a better day to be on the water.
Captain Andrew and his crew were amazing! So knowledgeable and very kind! Highly recommend!
Maybe better on a beautiful sunny day!
Very enjoyable cruise! Crew were all great! Our original day out was cancelled due to rain but they reached out right away and booked us on the following afternoon.
