Gillian is an excellent guide, very knowledgable and engaging. There were plenty of stops and Gillian had even booked us a table for lunch. We thoroughly enjoyed our day out and highly recommend Gillian as a tour guide.
Thank you very much for the excellent review.
Linda was a fantastic guide! Lots of interesting anecdotes and history, and was very open to modifying the your however we wanted to. We had lots of laughs and enjoyed the tour very much! Glendalough was gorgeous, lunch was very good, and the gardens at Powerscourt are a must-see. Highly recommend!
Thank you very much Andrew for the excellent and detailed review.
Private tour for our family to Wicklow Mountains and Glendalough. Linda was a very careful driver and kept us informed and entertained all along the journey. She provide excellent service and kept our group of six involved for the six hours we spent with her. Linda made a special effort to make sure that my wife and I were able to see the upper lake at Glendalough even though we were not able to do the hike with our sixty year old “kids”. Special Thank You to Terry, the owner for his efforts in helping me throughout the booking and scheduling process. Would recommend HiltopTreks as a 5+ Star tour with no reservations.
We had a wonderful experience with Gillian as our private tour guide for the day. She picked us up at the airport (after an overnight flight) and kept us engaged throughout the day - we learned a lot from her about the history of Ireland and the people and culture.
Thank you very much John for the excellent review.
Amazing experience with Dermot. He gave us a lot of details about history and Ireland today. He's a great storyteller! Thanks for the tour!
Thank you very much Pauline for the excellent review.
We had the most wonderful private tour with Gillian! She was an excellent guide—warm, knowledgeable, and happy to answer all of our questions along the way. We especially liked exploring the beautiful Powerscourt Gardens and ending the day at the peaceful Glendalough Lake. We got to enjoy a local restaurant where we had a some delicious Irish dishes in a great atmosphere. It was the perfect day trip during our time in Dublin, and would definitely recommend this experience to friends traveling to the area!
Thank you very much Shelley for the excellent review of your private day tour of Wicklow with Gillian.
I honestly can't say enough about how fascinating this tour was. We requested a private ancestral tour taking us into Glenmalure. Gillian did not disappoint, she provided in depth information on our family's roots in the Wicklow Mountains, along with churches and gravesites. Lunch at the Glenmalure Lodge was simply delicious (especially the lamb). HilltopTreks did a terrific job organizing this tour and I would highly recommend them.
Thank you very much Leona for the excellent review and Gillian told me how much she enjoyed guiding you all to the Byrne high points in Wicklow.
Linda was fantastic! She was willing to tailor the day to our requests and allowed us time needed to enjoy multiple stops, and still enjoy a delicious sit down lunch. She even added a sheep dog demo which our family really enjoyed to finish the day! Beautiful fun day not too far outside the Dublin area with a great guide who gives tons of background and history. Perfect for our last full day in Ireland!
Thank you very much for the excellent review about your private day tour of Wicklow.
we had a wonderful time. Linda was very knowledgeable of the area and tailored the trip to our requests. the scenery was beautiful. We had fog in some areas but still had a great time. We liked having a small van with just our group, 6 passengers.

We had a full day private tour starting at the beautiful Powerscourt Gardens then we visited the Wicklow Mountains National Park and had many opportunities to take some great photos. We stopped for a nice lunch at the Wicklow Heather restaurant and then finished up visiting the monastic site in Glendalough as well as the lakes. All in all it was a very nice way to spend the day outside of Dublin.
Thank you very much Sally for the excellent review and I'm delighted that you enjoyed your private day tour of Wicklow with us.
