Mac was very knowledgeable about the history and lore of Ireland. He and driver Alec were very kind and funny. Mac sang traditional songs that were lovely to hear and sing along with. Kids on the tour (ages 7-12) enjoyed the stops and sang along. Always wish there was more time in the different locations, however this is also the reality of day trips. Timing was appropriate to get a few brief things in at each stop.
Had a really nice and pleasant day. Weather was not the best but still well worth doing. Mac the tour guide was brilliant so was the driver dude Alec. For the price it is well worth the money. Highly recommend
We had a great day! Mac was an excellent tour guide and Alec was a great driver. Mac was extremely knowledgeable and gave a lot of information about each area we were in. He was also able to give recommendations about things to do when we got to each stop. Glendalough was extremely beautiful. Kilkenny was a very cute town and Mac actually gave an additional walking tour of the history of the city. Definitely a highlight of our trip to Ireland.
I did all the research for which tour around glendalough is best and I’m glad to say that I was not disappointed at all. Mac and Alec were wonderful, and I enjoyed the fantastic bits of history as well as songs that were sung. The coach is also comfortable and the wifi was adequate. Wish we had more time in Kilkenny though🥲
I participated alone in the tour. Mac was my guide. He was kind, delicate, dedicated, gentle (and very good singer in the bus!). As a French person, Mac was 100% understandable as he speaks clearly and eloquently. It gives the opportunity to discover different cities and places in the countryside for not a lot of money: nature, lakes, animals, hills, and also cities (guided tour of Kilkenny, discovery of the castle). Thanks to his conducer Alic too! I recommend this tour for anyone !
Philip & John ROCK! Philip’s quirky puns were fun. Street tour in Killkenny was very enjoyable. John kept the bus immaculate and drive was smooth.
What a great day. Good balance of guided time, free time and travel. Phillip, our guide was excellent. He gave us so much information, relayed stories and had a great sense of humour.John, the driver was great too. Thoroughly recommend.
We had a wonderful day trip to Glendalough and Killkeny with guide Teresa and driver Liam. Teresa was a great guide with stories and facts all through our trip in, and we always felt safe with Liam driving. The tour was very pretty and scenic in the morning and then about 2.5 hours or so near Killkenny castle we had free time. We ate lunch, took a self-guided tour of the castle and did a quick walk down the shopping street. A+, would recommend!
Excellent experience with Hugh and Elisa! Starting from the couch and comfort inside it, through perfectly curated music playlists while driving through the countryside up to all the stories told by Emily. It was really highlight of our trip and I would recommend it even if that would be the one and only tour you will ever do!
This was a great way to spend a free day while in Dublin to see more of Ireland. The coach bus was extremely comfortable, the group was friendly, and the tour guide and bus driver were lovely. The tour guide was extremely knowledgeable about the area and had loads of interesting tidbits to share. The stops were absolutely worth seeing, with so many brilliant photo ops. It was a full bus but the group size was easily managed. I went as a solo traveler and immediately met another very nice solo traveler to sit with. However, this would be great for couples and groups as well. You also get free time built into each stop, so you don't feel like you're being led around the entire time. Please note, though, especially if you're prone to motion sickness, half of the journey is very windy. My Dramamine came in handy.
