We ended up being the only 2 on guests on the tour! It was great! Our guide, Leslie was exceptional, she truly loves this job. Being August it was hot, but we made several stops, and received a few gifts along the way. I have taken tours that cost 10x this tour, I would rate this in the top 3!
This was a great way to orient ourselves to what downtown Asheville has to offer! The history of how Asheville came to be was fascinating! Great tour!
Barbara was an enthusiastic, knowledgeable tour guide. Learned a lot about the history & architecture of downtown Asheville. Downtown is quite different from the Biltmore Mansion which I visited several times the past. Great tour.
It was a nice tour but wish I had learned more about Asheville’s history and the sites visited. I was a little off put by the stated tip requirement.
It was a great way to learn about the city. Our guide was very knowledgeable about the area and added great humor on the tour. It is definitely a walking tour. There were some places to rest. . . .but you will certainly want a good pair of shoes.
You see all the beautiful, old buildings in downtown, receiving a lot of background and history the entire walk. Peter was entertaining, fun, and a wonderful guide. Such a great experience.
Learned a lot about the history as we walked thru Asheville. Very hot, humid day & guide’s pace great
Great tour with Peter; good overview of Asheville’s history. Directions on parking and meeting location were clear. Peter clearly loves Asheville, and sharing it with new friends.
Peter was super knowledgeable and very entertaining! Though we had all been to Asheville several times before, we all learned something new.
An absolutely delightful 90-minute walk about town. Peter is a gifted narrator & storyteller. He wove his tale of Asheville history beautifully throughout the tour. He was charming and entertaining, clearly enjoying sharing his knowledge & love of this town. He was also thoughtful & considerate of the needs & abilities of the tour participants. Much appreciated!
