If you choose the option with pick up included ("Group Tour - Up to 8 people" or "Private Tour"), you will receive the exact pick-up time the day before by email, text, or WhatsApp. Also, you will have available a range of locations and hotels to choose from, please select the one closer from your accommodation. Pick-ups at the predetermined locations are only for customers that bought that option ("Group Tour - Up to 8 people" or "Private Tour").

- Infants and small children can ride in a pram or stroller

- Confirmation will be received at time of booking;
- Parents should bring the baby car seat ajusted to infant's age (1 to 3 years old). We only have seats available after 4 years old.
- This tour may be done in two languages. We try to avoid it, but sometimes we have no other solution.
- Private option it's done in a private vehicle only with your private guide. The vineyards and rest of the locations are shared with other participants.
- For lunch we provide meat, fish, vegan and vegetarian option.
- Reschedulings with less than 24 hours before the start of the tour will be charged a 30% fee (subject to availability);
- We do not recommend that you book or schedule different activities at the end of the tour. Although the tour may last 9/10 hours, the duration may vary depending on traffic conditions and other factors.
- Please be aware that the activities which we visit, such as vineyards, restaurants, etc, are subject to 3rd party availability and other groups/participants may be with the your group during the experience.
- Schedules and Itinerary may change without prior notice.
- The pick-up service is only available for the ones that choose the option "Small Group Tour - Up to 8 people" and "Private Tour".
- Please make sure that you have breakfast. Keep in mind that we probably will only stop at the first activity. We may not have time to make a pit stop before arriving to the first vineyard.
- On the private option infants or childrens must be booked as an individual adult/place. Prices shown are per group/vehicle.

The Douro Valley scenery was beautiful, and we enjoyed the wine-tasting experiences at both estates. We were travelling with two teenagers and had specifically informed the vendor before booking. We fully appreciated that this was a wine-focused tour and didn’t expect activities specifically designed for children. However, given that we had made the vendor aware of our teenagers, we would have appreciated being advised about what the day would be like for them. Had we known there would be very little for them beyond the wine-related experiences, we may have chosen a different option. They were quite bored during parts of the day. Some juice was provided at the second estate, but there wasn’t really anything else offered for them. As we paid the full tour price for both teenagers, we had hoped there might have been a little more consideration for younger members of the group. The lunch was below par compared with other food experiences we’ve had on similar tours. The tour describes it as a traditional lunch with local gastronomy served at a historic wine estate, but our experience felt more like a large organised setup. The food was adequate, but it didn’t have the quality, authenticity or warmth we’ve experienced on other Portuguese tours. Our guide was knowledgeable, although most of the information was shared while we were travelling on the bus . He also didn’t accompany us on the boat trip, leaving us to enjoy the 50-minute cruise ourselves. We would have appreciated him joining us and providing some commentary about the Douro and surrounding area. Overall, we enjoyed the scenery, wineries, tastings and boat trip, but the experience felt quite structured. For adults primarily interested in wine, it would likely be a good choice. For families with teenagers, I would recommend discussing what will be available for younger travellers before booking. Our main disappointment was not that it was a wine tour, but that we had specifically mentioned our two teenagers beforehand and weren’t advised that they might find parts of the day difficult to engage with. Had we known, we could have chosen a more suitable family experience. One further disappointment is that, after the tour, I have now contacted the vendor three times regarding my concerns and have received no response or update. Given that we raised the issue directly and have made several attempts to get a response, the lack of communication has made the overall experience even more disappointing.

Teenagers are welcome to join our tours and participate in the full itinerary, naturally without consuming alcohol. However, the tour does not advertise or include specific entertainment or activities designed for children or teenagers. We understand that younger participants may find some parts of a wine-focused experience less engaging. This is a personal experience that we respect, but it does not mean that any part of the advertised itinerary was not provided. Regarding the river cruise, this is a panoramic 50-minute cruise and is not advertised as a guided cruise. The guide therefore does not necessarily accompany the group on board. Information about the Douro Valley, its history and the places visited is provided throughout the rest of the tour. Regarding lunch, we fully respect your personal opinion and are sorry that it did not meet your expectations. Finally, we must respectfully correct one important statement in this review. **It is not accurate to say that you contacted us three times and received no response or update. We enjoyed our entire wine tour day with our family of 6. Tiago was very energetic and spent the entire day going out of his way to engage the group. The wineries, the views, and wine were all outstanding. I couldn't imagine visiting Porto and skipping this tour

The scenery was beautiful. Our guide was 20 minutes late picking us up after messaging us the day before asking us to come out early. The van was in terrible condition and lost electrical power a few times. Driver was erratic and I didn’t feel safe in his car. It’s a shame because these things ruined the tour for us. The vineyard was beautiful! Lunch was Ok.

We would, however, like to clarify a few points. On the day of your tour, the pickup occurred approximately 10 minutes later than scheduled. As communicated in advance, pickup times can occasionally be affected by traffic conditions in Porto. Regarding the vehicle, a warning caused the vehicle to enter safety mode once during the journey. Our guide immediately stopped in a designated and safe parking area after the tolls to check the situation before continuing. At no point was the safety of our guests compromised. Guest safety is our highest priority, particularly when travelling on the winding roads of the Douro Valley. We understand that some of the mountain roads between Sabrosa and Pinhão can feel uncomfortable for travellers who are not accustomed to narrow and winding roads, and we regret that this affected your enjoyment of the journey. We appreciate your positive comments about the scenery and vineyard and also your feedback regarding lunch. What an awesome way to spend the day here! We stayed in Porto so the pickup was super easy and seamless. Our guide Nuno took us through the Duoro Valley all over, peppered with history and fun facts along the way! The wine tasting at the first vineyard was fab and the lunch and second one were amazing as well. We even made a stop for a really cool view. I recommend Dramamine if you have motion sickness (the bus rides) and definitely eat a little before because the wine tasting is the first stop. It’s a great way to spend the day and rest easy knowing your whole day is planned for you!
