Domus Aurea Self-Guided Tour with Virtual Reality Experience

Description
Step into the Golden House (Domus Aurea), the grandiose Palace of one of the most famous Rome’s emperors. Thanks to ongoing archaeological restoration and an immersive Virtual Reality experience, you’ll discover the hidden world of Nero’s Palace, rich of beautiful ancient frescoes and incredible chambers. This immense palace was built after the Great Fire of Rome in AD 64. After Nero’s death, it was partially destroyed and then, it lay buried underground for centuries, forgotten and preserved, until its rediscovery during the Renaissance. It became immediately a source of inspiration for great artists like Raphael and Michelangelo. During this Virtual Reality experience you’ll be transported back in time through new technology and immersive 3d video narration providing you visual insights into how Emperor Nero's golden palace looked 2,000 years ago. The final result will be a true time travel, a sort of cognitive and emotional short circuit.

This was basically a middle-man service to get to the official guided tour in Domus A. This is Ok and made life easy for me, but I am just saying if someone with DIY attitude might want to compare costs. The sight is very interesting and official guidance good (the 3D part of it was phenomenal) but in a big group I had constant problems in hearing, I would suggest to keep near the guide.
Thank you for your review! We're glad you enjoyed the visit and especially the 3D experience. We appreciate your feedback about the group size and audio—staying close to the guide can definitely help, and we'll continue working to provide the best possible experience. We hope to welcome you again on another tour! Kind regards, Rome With Silvia Team
Our tour was cancelled and we still have not recieved the refund - more than 100 Euros! Rome with Silvia was our tour operator. First the rescheduled the tour from Sunday to Saturday - we got an email from Silvia with the confirmation for this. Then on Saturday we waited at the meeting point and were only then informed that the tour was cancelled completly. We were rpomised a refund within 24 hours - it has not arrived untill today! They owe us more than 100 Euros. Also they could not be reached yet and didn't answer the phone and our messages anymore. A complete fraud! Never book a tour with Rom with Silvia!!!
Dear client, we are a tour operator and your tour was canceled because the DOMUS AUREA was closed OFFICIALLY for public security: the Major of Rome established the closure of all the public parks in Roma, included the one where the Domus Aurea lies. My collegue at the meeting point explained to you everything, showing the closed access of the monument. Moreover we refunded you immediately but the refunds takes 1.2 working day to be visible on your bank account.
