It's cold inside; bring a sweater. The structure is interesting in its size, scope and history. But the corridors look much the same as each other, and pedantic descriptions of the frescoes and construction of the rooms may feel tedious. The VR portion gave an awesome perspective. I would have appreciated a tour half an hour shorter than it was.

Less popular than many of other attractions in the area so it was a nice quiet and peaceful break from the crowds. Don’t expect to see a lot of refined artwork but it really helps you understand the sheer size of the ancient Roman structures. Fascinating piece of history- gives context of the construction of the colosseum. Interactive vr was short but cool. Chilly inside so don’t forget a sweater or jacket.
