Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback. We’re truly sorry that your experience did not meet your expectations, and we appreciate the opportunity to address your concerns. First, we’re very glad that both you and your son were safe. Our equipment is thoroughly inspected, serviced, and tested before every dive, as well as maintained according to industry standards. While we work hard to prevent any equipment issues, occasional failures can still occur, even with properly maintained gear. As Jorge explained, the equipment issue occurred during the final 15 minutes of the dive. At that point, the group was in approximately 10 feet of water, well within the shallow depth used for our Discover Scuba program. He immediately followed his training by bringing everyone safely to the surface. Once everyone was safely on the surface and the situation was fully under control, he made the decision to use his alternate air source and return to shore underwater with your son. This is a standard emergency procedure taught in scuba training and allowed the dive to conclude in a calm and controlled manner. Safety is always our highest priority, and we’re proud of how Jorge handled the situation. His quick response, calm demeanor, and adherence to established safety procedures are exactly what we expect from our instructors, and we’re pleased that his actions ensured there was no injury or danger to anyone involved. Regarding the delayed start, we understand that this was frustrating. We always strive to begin our activities on schedule, but occasionally check-in procedures, participant readiness, or safety briefings can result in slight delays. We never rush these steps because they are an important part of ensuring everyone has a safe experience. Although the dive ended earlier than planned, we wanted to make things right by providing complimentary photos and videos of your experience, along with a 50% refund. We felt this was a fair resolution considering that a substantial portion of the activity had already been completed before the equipment issue occurred. We sincerely appreciate your comments, as they help us continue improving our operation. We will also be reviewing the equipment involved once again out of an abundance of caution. Thank you for recognizing Jorge’s professionalism, and we hope you’ll consider giving us another opportunity to provide you with the experience we strive to deliver.
