The first stop will be Choirokoitia for a coffee break before continuing to Strovilia check point (passports necessary) to cross the United Nations Green Line. We will arrive at the monastery of St Barnabas which has now been converted into a museum housing icons and other religious artefact. We will also see the tomb of St Barnabas. We continue to the ancient Kingdom of Salamis built in the 12th Century BC and visit the amphitheatre and gymnasium. We arrive in the city of Famagusta with its many Gothic churches and surrounded by Venetian walls. There will be time to visit the Cathedral of St Nikolaos built in 1312 and converted in 1570 into a mosque as well as free time for sightseeing, shopping, and lunch (not included). Finally, we will stop to view the “Ghost Town – Varosi” to see the abandoned houses and hotels which have been closed off behind wire since 1974 and admire the best sandy beaches of the island

Truly amazing, an experience not to be missed
A thoroughly enjoyable day. Travelling to various places of interest and completing at the ghost town. The coach was new and very comfortable, fully air conditioned.
We had a guide who had first hand experience of the Turkish invasion of her home town when she was a small child named Eva. Her tour guidance discussing the event that resulted in the desertion of this town coupled with her actual experience made the whole experience emotional and truly moving.

Done as described, and well.
Good tour, lots of information given. The whole experience actually felt of a higher overall standard compared to other tour operators that we have experienced whilst on holiday on the island. I would recommend to others, nice sized group for such a tour also.

Helpful guide. Interesting trip

A place of interest
It is a place that you must visit if you are in Cyprus,the sea is so warm and the scenery is stunning and of course the weather is so warm even in October.
