It is a very nice experience, highly recommended. You can enjoy nature from the beginning of the trails to where the macaques are.
Muchas gracias por compartir su hermosa experiencia. Nos alegra mucho saber que disfrutó de la naturaleza desde el inicio de los senderos hasta el encuentro con los macacos. Esperamos poder recibirle nuevamente en el futuro.
Great trip, fantastic guide. Sadly people had no respect for time limits which was extremely enjoying for the people who had to spend lots of time waiting in the bus. The much place was amazing, the hike up to the monkeys was easy and enjoyable. The monkeys were a great experience. Offcourse a lot of people there to be expected. I wish the booking page had informed an expected time schedule, that would have made planning the day easier. Lunch time, driving times, toilet brakes, expected return, as well as information about necessary clothes, shoes and spikes, would have been helpful. But all in all and amazing trip and so grateful to the guide and bus drivers.
I'm glad that you were satisfied. Thank you very much.
It was excellent! We enjoyed a generous lunch buffet and the trek to see the famous snow monkeys. The host even surprised us with a complimentary gift at the end that was thoughtful. Thank you
Thank you for your review. I'm glad that you were satisfied. I'll keep it in mind for the future.
Close up voews of monkeys playing, preening each other, bathing in onsen. While you have to stay 1 meter away, they are not afraid of you and freely roam around you. We went in nov when the 2 day snow monkey pass was npt available. Can still ride the snow monkey express bus no.23 from outside nagano station whoch takes about 50 min- 1 way 1800 yen by visa or cash. Then 800 yen for admission to park. Takes about 30 min to walk from bus stop to park. Snow monkey park was the biggest highlight for our trip to japan/ nagano
Thank you so much for your kind words. Happy to hear you enjoyed your time in Japan and please return again in the future. We will be more than happy to assist you again in any way we can. Kind Regards
This was a great trip - long travel time though. Tour guide was professional even when we were stuff at the traffic at night, she still organized our stop for rest room. I would recommend this tour.

It was a whole day event. Check in was efficient. Ride was comfortable. Lunch was great. The drive to the snow monkey park was far and the walk could not tricky with the snow especially walking down hill - could be very slippery - Suggested to buy the spikes for the shoes which the guide would offer to you. The snow park was not big but it was cute to see the monkeys and if you are luck and patient, you might see them in the onsen. Ride back was long as we got into the traffic so suggest you do not plan anything in the evening. Overall, it was a great experience. Worth the money.
There are not many tours to see snow monkeys. I am glad that you were satisfied. Thank you for your review!
Although it is a long bus ride (3hours there and back) it’s definitely worth it. The tour guide was lovely and I had a great time 👍
Thank you for your compliment. I would appreciate your favor if there is another opportunity.
When I think of Japan, Mt. Fuji, sumo wrestlers, sushi, kabuki, and of course snow monkeys! So I had to see before I left this beautiful country. It was well organized, stops along the way, lunch, and a walk through the forest. On your way back to the bus I recommend getting a muffin from the cafe, they were delicious.. they have other things such as chicken and fries, etc. All in all it was a long day but worth it and the tour guide was very nice. Also, bring something to entertain yourself because the bus ride is about 4 hours there and then you come back, so you'll be on the bus quite a bit.
Hi! Thank you for joining our tour and sharing your experience! It is really wonderful that Japan has given you different joys and memories, those majestic cultural assets or just a muffin during the trip! We are happy just by hearing this. T&C
We were a bit cautious with this trip since there were only 2 reviews on it. To start of we we've 3 boys - 15, 13, and 7. We were planning on taking a train ride to any of the snowy areas near Tokyo for them to experience snow for the first time. But since it was December 31, the closest place to go was Nagano. Luckily we found this option. And, yes, as the description says it's hassle free. There were breaks during the 3-4hr trip to Nagano and back. The sukiyaki lunch was wonderful! Good preparation for the 30-40mins enchanting walk to the Snow Monkey park. We were blessed with great weather - sunshine and the snow that fell the day before was light and powdery. The path was a bit slippery due to ice so bring proper shoes. Else, there is a shop before the hike where you can rent some. The Monkeys themselves seemed to be used to the attention and did not mind walking around and through the tourists. Just remember the rules they posted before the engagement area. Again, overall, a safe, efficient, comfortable and hassle-free trip to Nagano from Tokyo.
Hi! Thank you for adding another review to us! We hope the boys had great fun seeing snow monkey. These feedback also helps other travelers have a real in-person image about the tour, and we really appreciate the time you spent on this. ;-)
The long bus trip was definitely worth seeing all the cute monkeys. The lunch was great and the views going to the monkey park were amazing. Our tour guide KITAZAWA Kenji was very friendly and accommodating
