This tour will show you to the center of the ancient world as Delphi according to the ancient Greeks was ''the navel of the earth". This amazing site of extreme beauty will take your mind of the city for one day and will offer you another side of the Greek mythology hidden in the mountains.
The chosen tour starts with a two hours’ drive thought the Greek countryside along fields, lakes and mountains. The stories and the myths that our drivers and guides will tell you along the way will reveal the unique energy of the site. Not long before reaching Delphi we will drive through Arachova, a beautiful little town which is a ski resort but gives the impression that came from the past.Then in one of the slopes of mount Parnassus there is Delphi and the oracle. The oracle was a temple dedicated to god Apollo where people or even cities could consult the god about important decisions which the god was giving through his priestess.
The tholos of the sanctuary of Athena Pronaia visible from above is perhaps the most characteristic monument at Delphi and one of the most important buildings. This circular building that was built in 380 BC is of unknown purpose, a masterpiece of Classical architecture and the historians already from the ancient times do not refer to it as a temple. The whole area around it was part of the sacred site and you will be able to see the treasuries, where the gifts were kept, the sacred spring called Castalia, the theater and the stadium where the games to honor the god Apollo were taking place. In the museum the statues and the treasures found in the site will make your visit more special. Among the great jewelry and the ritual items you will admire Inioxos, a beautiful statue of a young boy which details force us to respect its creator. After your meal we will drive back to Athens.

Day Trip to Delphi with Konstantinos
The trip was amazing! Konstantinos was very attentive, making sure our trip was comfortable and seamless, paying attention to every detail. He was an excellent driver and made wonderful recommendations which enhanced our trip even more. Highly recommend this Day trip to Delphi!

Unbelievable life experience - Delphi
I couldn’t express enough how much we enjoyed our trip to Delphi. Our driver George and all individuals we worked with were outstanding!! Our driver was so welcoming, knowledgeable and truly added to our experience. We feel so lucky to have booked this trip and would absolutely do it again. I asked my kids their favorite part and we all agreed it was our trip to Delphi!!!

Cant wait to use them again!
So happy I found VIP tours athens through a google search. Their selection of cars were great. We used them for a 10 hour day tour to Delphi from Athens and they set up a guide for us. We also used them for a 4 hour trip. Their drivers Alexis and Tasos were amazing! So polite and safe driving. Cars were always clean. Definitely using this company again!!

Great way to see Delphi.
Lovely day trip from Athens. The Delphi site is fascinating. Driver was great. Car was pristine. Our driver Tasos was professional and polite. Took us to a great local restaurant after the tour. Good food. Great view. This was a great way to see Delphi and a little bit of Greece outside of Athens.

Superb trip!
George was the most attentive and friendly driver/tour guide that we could have hoped for. The trip to Delphi provided brilliant views and steeped in history with impressively retained artefacts and sculpture. George stopped at various places on the way back to show us some brilliant spots off of the beaten track which were very refreshing. The air conditioned van was extremely comfortable with water and snacks provided and really made the trip that much more enjoyable. Thank you George!
