We will end our amazing tour by visiting the Modern Alexandria Library (visit its open court + free museums), the Old library was very famous all over the world for its huge books capacity of different sciences and literature. It was damaged several times during the Greco Roman period until it vanished. The beginning of reconstruct the library started at the late 80s of the last century. The design of the modern library of Alexandria consisted of four underground stores and six upper stores. The special shape of the modern library of Alexandria is considered a special architectural germ. The library the history of the library and the city of Alexandria and the Egyptian history as a whole, The cultures of the Arab world, Africa, and the Mediterranean countries , and The culture, ideas, and civilization of the whole world Location.

Pompey's Pillar: A towering red granite column in Alexandria, Egypt, standing 25 meters tall, likely built to honor Emperor Diocletian. It is the tallest ancient monument in the city.

After that going to visit The Roman Amphitheatre which is Located in the heart of Alexandria, Kom el-Dikka is an extensive Roman theatrical and residential complex. It includes the only known Roman amphitheater in Egypt, an impressively well-preserved structure composed of thirteen terraces. This was constructed in the traditional Greek style.

Then, You will go to get a photo stop at (Qaitbey’s Citadel) which is considered one of the most important defensive strongholds, not only in Egypt, but also along the Mediterranean Sea coast. It formulated an important part of the fortification system of Alexandria in the 15th century A.D.; The Citadel is situated at the entrance of the eastern harbour on the eastern point of the Pharos Island. It was erected on the exact site of the famous Lighthouse of Alexandria, which was one of the Seven Wonders of the Ancient World.

Around 7.00 am , You will be escorted in an air conditioned vehicle from your hotel towards Alexandria (about 3.30 Hrs. Driving) where you will meet your tour guide in Alexandria to discover the beauty and the Greco Roman civilization within a day-tour starting with visiting the catacombs of Kom el Shoqafa which are considered one of the wonders of the middle ages . It's the largest known Roman burial site in Egypt, with three tiers of tombs that could accommodate up to 300 corpses. The cemetery originally was dug to be a private cemetery for one family ,then it was converted to be a public cemetery the architecture of the tombs mirrors Greco-Roman styles. This can be seen in the wall decoration, which shows a unique combination of Egyptian, Greek, and Roman artistic traditions. People are buried here in sarcophagi, in shelves, and in urns of ashes after cremation.

GREAT DAY TRIP TO ALEXANDRIA!
Egypt Tailor Made was great! They arranged a day tour to us to Alexandria from Cairo. Our driver picked us up from our hotel and stayed with us the enter day. We met our tour guide in Alexandria. We visited the catacombs, Pompey's Pillar, the Roman amphitheater, the Library of Alexandria, and Fort Quitbay (which is pretty beautiful). There's really a lot to see at each of these sites - more than you'd expect (it's not just a pillar there!) This was a long day (the ride back to Cairo took over 3 hours - but we hit rush hour!) ETM offers a great service. Well worth the trip to Alexandria.

Knowledgeable and Experienced Guide
Ms. Jividan was a knowledgeable and experienced guide. As a local, she clearly has passion for the city. Up front, she went over the day's program, including all the entrance fees, to make sure we were happy with what we were seeing that day. She also offered additional optional experiences throughout the day. For only a short day trip, we felt like we learned so much about Alexandria!

Auditorium, catacombs, lighthouse,
I could visit many historical places of Alexandria. Ms. Heba explained all of places’ history so I enjoyed Greek and Roman architecture.

Egypt is safe and welcoming
We had a wonderful day in Alexandria. Our tour guide, Javidan, was so knowledgeable, professional and accommodating. She took us to a wonderful restaurant for lunch, the Fish Market, overlooking the Mediterranean. I would highly recommend Egypt Tailor Made tours to experience the best of Egypt.

A long day made easy
These guys ooze professionalism but without sacrificing the personal touch
Mohammed our driver punctually collected us at 7am for the 2+ hour to Alexandria with option of a coffee stop along the way if required. A good conversationalist he helped the miles speed by. Nancy our guide was extremely knowledgeable and her pre site briefings for each location certainly proved to be of great assistance. No hesitation in recommending this company.

Fantastic trip with an incredible tour guide
We spent 6 days with Sabry as our guide. What an amazing 6 days!! We did so much in a short time. Sabry was incredibly kind, flexible, knowledgeable, and knew exactly when to go to the sights so that there were less people around! He makes sure to support good local businesses and makes sure you're taken care of, beyond what he is expected to do. He also suggested another tour for our free day that was absolutely amazing! It was also handy to have a person willing to take photos at any time.
My birthday was during this week and Sabry and Egypt Tailor Made made sure I found a good place with a great view to celebrate my special day. Not many tour groups or guides do that!
Ask for Sabry for your trip and have a wonderful time! Come to Egypt, it's amazing!

Great day trip!
I had an amazing tour with Mr. Ahmed Zaky and Mostafa the driver - Ahmed is very knowledgeable and very nice (he even shared some information with locals who were visiting the sites as well) and was very good company throughout the drive. I got to see the city and many highlights - my favorite part was the Roman ruins
