Lyon, contrary to what one thinks, is not made only of light ... I invite you to come wander in the dark legends of the city in order to meet its specters, because Lyon does not reveal itself easily to travelers .... From Vieux-Lyon to the Presqu'île, we will stroll through the dark streets in search of symbols and ancient rituals which, perhaps, still influence the inhabitants. From the evil spirits of St. George, to the lycanthropes and tough assassins of Lyon, the city drags a reputation as a demonic city.
NOTE: The tour is open to children, the speech can be adapted to the type of audience. However, it is the responsibility of parents to judge the sensitivity of their children.

An evening of unusual discoveries!
We were 2 couples looking for the darkest Lyon and we found it with Nico! His in-depth knowledge of history and linguistics allowed us to explore the origins of some myths and legends of Lyon, while making us (re)discover known neighborhoods of Lyon! Visit to do!
Nicolas is a passionate of his city who very quickly took us into his universe.
We made the visit the next day "to discover old Lyon" and it was just as great!

Exciting.
Exciting walk in our city. Taken through the ages, legends, and news stories, each darker and stranger than the last. Nicolas was able to share his knowledge with us with passion.

Amazing, Kind, & Gruesome
I had an absolutely wonderful time with Nico on this tour. He is incredibly knowledgable and personable, and the tour itself is very well constructed, carving through the hilly medieval streets of Lyon with supernatural tales, architectural history, and the occasional gruesome murder. We saw some less crowded corners of the old city as well as some more typical sites, stopping along the way to admire, for example, small stonemasonry details on the Cathédrale Saint-Jean-Baptiste, or the illuminated view of Fourvière from a bridge, the square by Théâtre Célestins, etc. Nico himself is super duper kind. I lucked out in that the tour ended up just being me; since I am learning French, Nico conducted the tour in French, and since he's a professor of languages, he also helped me with my own language as I responded, even giving me some practical tips for moving forward in my own time.
Really just a purely positive experience. By the end I felt like I hadn't paid enough for what I received. Thank you, Nico!

The beautiful - and bloody! - city of Lyon at night
I took this tour in English and it was excellent! It definitely showed a new side of the beautiful city of Lyon, and it was lovely (and hair-raising!) to experience the beautiful old town at night and hear the thrilling stories of the past. Excellent guide, can highly recommend!

Lyon obscure with guide Nicolas
It was wonderful! Nicolas is a passionate guide who lives his stories and takes you away. Very cultured. You can't feel the past. Visiting the city of Lyon at night is a must. I highly recommend!
