Fantastic Shoebill Experience with Hassan!
We went out with Hassan Mabamba Shoebill Guide in Entebbe last week and had an absolutely brilliant experience.
Hassan was incredibly knowledgeable and clearly knows the area and wildlife inside out. We were lucky enough to see the shoebill, which was an amazing experience in itself, but Hassan made the whole trip even better by taking loads of fantastic photos and videos for us along the way.
He was friendly, enthusiastic and great company throughout, and you can tell he genuinely loves what he does.
If you’re visiting Entebbe and want to see the shoebill, I’d definitely recommend Hassan. A fantastic guide and one of the highlights of our Uganda trip! 🙂

Great shoebill experience!
We had a great experience on the shoebill tour. We were very lucky and found a shoebill quite quickly. Even though it started raining heavily, it was still absolutely worth it.
Our guide was very patient throughout the tour, shared lots of interesting information about the shoebill and its habitat, and never rushed us. He even gave me extra time to stay and observe the bird despite the rain, without any complaints. I really appreciated that.
