Description
This day tour is the quickest way to do birdwatching around Kampala and Entebbe with the main attraction being the elusive shoebill stork in Mabamba Swamp. The Mabamba Swamp is the best place to view the famous Shoebill in Uganda. It is located west of 40 kilometres west of Entebbe and can be accessed by both road and a boat tour across Lake Victoria.

A gentle guide who feels safe on his own
Our tour guide, a Ugandan, was very kind and friendly and told us a lot of stories in the car as we headed there. I was very lucky enough to see the pied stork immediately in the Mabamba Wetlands. The Ugandan people who were in charge of the boat were also very kind to teach us about the hazelback stork ecosystem and so on. It was more fun than I expected and I was able to participate with peace of mind! It was great to be a part of it!!!
