The Last Supper by Leonardo Da Vinci is located in the old refectory of the Convent of Santa Maria delle Grazie in Milan. The painting represents the scene of the Last Supper of Jesus with his apostles, and portrays the reaction of each apostle when Jesus said one of them would betray him. Leonardo invented his own painting technique to be able to work slowly, and to perfect every detail. This new technique made the mural extremely fragile and its deterioration ensued. Over the past five hundred years the painting’s condition has been seriously compromised by a combination of location, materials and techniques used, humidity and tourists. Early restoration attempts only made it worse. Finally, in 1980, a 19-year restoration began, the painting was ultimately restored, but it lost much of its original paint along the way.

Couldn’t go, local companies messed up with my reservation time, very upset.
A must do activities if you visiting MILAN, we had one of the most enjoyable guide whose name is Michael. He is very attention to details, and explain nearly everythings that we walked pass. His historical knowledge ans passion for art were amazing. I really enjoyed the trips!!! Really recommended.
Thank you to Anna who was our wonderful guide on what was my second visit to The Last Supper and my fiances first. Anna delivered her guided tour with aplomb, giving insightful anecdotes and imparting valuable knowledge of the painting. I now have an even greater appreciation and will recommend this tour company. Thank you.
I was pleasantly surprised by this tour. Our tour guide, a gentleman who’s name I e forgotten was incredibly knowledgeable. I highly recommend this tour.
Superb explanation of Days Vinci's painting and the more recent and tragic history of it. Linda is very knowledgeable and enthusiastic which always adds so much more to appreciation of the art and artist.
So moving to see Da Vinci's The Last Supper first-hand. Terrific guide made it more meaningful. To understand the context of when it was painted, how it has been restored and why Jesus's feet no longer feature made for a very rich experience.
It’s a very special place a truly great work of art I have been to Milan many time and have never been able to visit Guide was great and they have done wonderful job in restoring and presenting the workd
We booked this tour through Musement, as just so difficult to get std tickets directly , although a lot more expensive than just doing on €12 euro entrance fee it didn’t feel like we had been scammed at all, we met in the piazza square with our guide who was so passionate about Leonardo Da Vinci that she made the visit well worth the fee! She explained so much about the painting before we went in, you get 15 mins inside looking at it so having the guide for 30 mins beforehand explaining about what you can and can’t do, such as no food or drink inside even in bags, no backpacks but advising you can take pictures with no flash and no video! The guide explained who was who on picture how it got to be painted there, we were showed where he lived and the history of church and monastery the monks lived in which is where painting is... it was thoroughly enjoyable and a once in lifetime experience to see such a masterpiece. The adjoining church is beautiful inside too which of course is free to visit just have some change to buy and light a candle inside.
Donatella is a wonderful guide. She gave us one of the best tours I’ve ever been on. The details she gave us about each part of the last supper we’re so well thought out and interesting and it shows how much she studies and loves art. This is the best way to see and enjoy Da Vinci’s last supper.
