Her knowledge of Leonardo, Milanese history, art, architecture, and culture was extraordinary, but it was her passion and storytelling that made the experience unforgettable. Although our tour did not include The Last Supper itself, we learned so much about Leonardo and the world in which he lived that by the end of the tour, we felt we had gained a whole new appreciation for Milan. Barbara was incredibly knowledgeable, passionate, professional, warm, and personable. She shared fascinating stories and details that we would never have discovered on our own, and she made history feel alive rather than simply something we were learning about. “The Last Supper”, the masterpiece by Leonardo da Vinci, next to the Church of Santa Maria delle Grazie. Being the world most famous painting of the Renaissance Art that is so delicate, the access is strictly limited to a fixed amount of people for 15 minutes.
After the visit of “The Last Supper” the tour will continue to the Sforza Castle, a fortress in the middle of the city surrounded by a beautiful park. The Castle, dating from the XIV century was built by the most influential family of Milan the Sforza’s and hosts different important exhibitions and museums.
Not far from the Castle our expert guides will take you through the famous Via Dante, to reach the beautiful Piazza dei Mercanti, which was once the most important medieval market area of the city.

Great tour!! Highly recommend the tour and the tour guide-FABULOUS! Great knowledge and personable. The company needs to do a better job of making the location of the tour guide visible-holding a large flag or sign so they can be easily found. Many people in one location and many of us asking who/where the guide was.
