Gianca was the most exceptional and fantastic host to beautiful Sicily! We cannot thank him and his whole team enough for the special care he gave us before and during our trip to Palermo, Ortigia, Mt. Etna, and Taormina. He did an incredible job finding a birth certificate of one of our ancestors and gave us detailed information. He also assisted us late at night when we had issues with our flight. Communication through WhatsApp with him and all of his drivers and tour guides was perfect. His warm and loving nature is consistent with all of the people we encountered all along our travels in Sicily. His staff is fabulous! We can't wait to go back and see more of Sicily and have Gianca help us plan the trip again, it is the best way to see Sicily!!!

The experience could not have been better. It's not just a tour, you are family. Gianca, Rosella (tour owners) and Rita are caring, attentive and truly fun people. It's small enough so you get to know your fellow travelers. You have time on this tour to see some of the most beautiful areas of Sicily. The hotel accommodations were great and the food experience is something you will not experience with other tours. Special events and chef experiences were top notch. We are so happy we booked this tour.

This tour was the ultimate Sicilian experience. Attributable to the hard work, coordination, attention to detail, a true love of their Sicily and a wish to share it with their tour family, us. Rosella, Gianca, and Rita (tour guide assistant extraordinaire) made this the time of my life. Every day was filled with surprises. Extraordinarily, they were able to make each day's experience better than the previous. There were beautiful four- and five-star hotels with their picturesque views, luxurious accommodations and the most extravagant breakfast buffets anyone could have imagined. There was amazing Mt Etna active volcano, unbelievable ruins, awe inspiring cathedrals; and exceptionally, knowledgeable and fun guides. So many amazing lunches and dinners with the establishments' owners like at the Palazzo Francavilla, in Palermo. A meal fit for a Queen, or King. A lunch at Chef Vito's house where I discovered a love for tuna steak and caponata. There we were also treated to a hands-on falconry show by Chef Vito, how sick is that! Another day, a winery tour with a five-course tasting and wine pairing from a Michelin chef no less. Afterwards resting in their beautiful gardens. So many hands-on experiences like making chocolate candy bars, sausage links, cannolis (cannolos if you are Sicilian), ricotta cheese, and pizzas The last day's dinner was spent at Chef Massimo's house in Taormina. The views from his terrace and patios were outstanding. There in his cooking classroom we prepped our meal: caponata, homemade pasta with dried tomato pesto, ricotta stuffed zucchini flowers, veal meatballs in lemon leaf, and catch of the day, nine-pound fish named "Godzilla". Our tour host and hostesses were so thoughtful, helpful and considerate. On our way to our next hotel, one of our members realized that she had forgotten her medications. Although the refrigerated medications could have been easily replaced, the meats and cheese from the outdoor market bought the previous day could not. Rita jumped into action, got a ride back to the hotel and retrieved the treasures and medication. Another example of their consideration that I will never forget was when they coordinated a surprise celebration for my 68th birthday. My first successful surprise party ever! They also were kind enough to arrange the God Father's Tour at the last minute. Not really a fan, but the tour was well worth it. Thank you for the handmade Sicily Lover's horse and cart souvenir. I love it. Thank you for all of the great memories, experiences, and thank you for showing us the real Sicily; well, as much as you can in thirteen days. However, that is not enough. Our Sicily Lovers Tour was everything we wanted and so much more. We LOVED it. We not only saw Sicily; we felt Sicily. Our Best Things to do in Sicily was a resounding success! We visited the most important cities, experienced local cuisine and personal interactions with Sicilians and enjoyed so many special moments. Gianca, Rosella and Rita truly made this trip a one of a kind travel adventure!

The tour was the best experience I have had, from the hotels to food including hands on making pasta, sausage & chocolate. The meals were 4 & 5 courses including wine tasting. I just recently returned from the Sicily Lovers trip with Gianca, Rosella, and the fabulous Rita. For me it was the trip of a lifetime! The tour took us around most of the island and was arranged thoughtfully as to the time spent in each location. Transportation between towns was done in a luxurious bus with the very talented driver Tony. Hotels were beautiful and centrally located so that in free time we could get out and walk around without needing additional transportation. The tour included the historic sites but also visits with local chefs in their home who prepared delicious and authentic Sicilian dishes for us! When do you ever have that experience on a trip? I’m so very thankful that I did this trip to the land of my ancestors with the Sicily Lovers group! Don’t hesitate to book this, you’ll be glad you did!

We had the best time exploring Sicily, getting to know the locals, enjoying a great variety of Sicilian cuisine. The tour guides Gianca, Rosella, and Rita were both informative and fun to be with. Our group of 20 quickly became family. Speaking of family, the guides researched and located our Sicilian family and arranged for us to meet up with them during our downtime on the tour. While we were touring, on May 5th we enjoyed hiking Mt Etna and then to a local winery at the foot of Mt Etna. It happened to be my husband’s birthday and they surprised him with a birthday cake as our whole group sang to him. To sum it up, if you want to really appreciate Sicily, take this tour.

We highly recommend this tour. The sights were incredible and the experiences memorable. Lots to see and do but we also had down time on our own. This was our first time in Sicily and Gianca & Rita did not disappoint in showing us the best of Sicily.
