Itinerary
Perched high on a hillside with Mount Fuji as its majestic backdrop, Chureito Pagoda is a scene straight out of a Japan dream. Imagine walking up a charming path lined with seasonal beauty—delicate pink sakura in spring, golden-red leaves in autumn, or shimmering snow in winter—until the breathtaking five-story pagoda comes into view. From the top, you’ll witness one of the most famous and Instagram-worthy panoramas in the country: the graceful pagoda perfectly framed with the towering Mount Fuji in the distance. Take your time to snap unforgettable photos, breathe in the crisp mountain air, and soak in the peaceful, almost magical atmosphere. Whether you’re chasing that perfect shot or simply looking to experience Japan’s beauty at its finest, Chureito Pagoda is an absolute must-see that will stay in your heart—and camera roll—forever.
Set along the serene shores of Lake Kawaguchiko, Oishi Park is a paradise for nature lovers and photographers alike. Here, you’ll be greeted by sweeping views of Mount Fuji rising gracefully above the tranquil waters, perfectly framed by vibrant seasonal blooms. In summer, endless rows of purple lavender create a fragrant, postcard-perfect scene; in autumn, fiery red and golden foliage light up the landscape; and in winter, the snow-capped peak adds a magical touch to the crisp, clear air. Stroll along the flower-lined pathways, pause at cozy cafés, or browse charming local shops selling lavender-themed treats and souvenirs. Every step offers a new angle for breathtaking photos, making it one of the most romantic and relaxing spots in the Fuji Five Lakes area. At Oishi Park, you don’t just see Mount Fuji—you feel its quiet beauty surrounding you.
Nestled at the base of Mount Fuji, Kitaguchi Hongu Fuji Sengen Shrine is a place where history, spirituality, and nature come together. This sacred site, over 1,000 years old, was once the starting point for pilgrims climbing Fuji, and stepping through its towering red torii gate feels like entering another world. You’ll wander along a tranquil path shaded by centuries-old cedar trees, leading to the magnificent main hall with its intricate wooden carvings and serene atmosphere. The shrine grounds exude a timeless charm—perfect for taking in the peaceful surroundings, snapping photos of traditional architecture, and learning about the deep cultural connection between Mount Fuji and Japan’s spiritual heritage. Whether you come for quiet reflection, cultural discovery, or simply to feel the history beneath your feet, Kitaguchi Sengen Shrine offers a soulful pause in your Mount Fuji journey.
Herb Garden Tabinikki in Fuji-Kawaguchiko is a delightful blend of color, fragrance, and stunning mountain views. Perched on a hillside, the garden offers a sweeping panorama of Mount Fuji rising above Lake Kawaguchiko—an unforgettable backdrop for your visit. Stroll through vibrant flower beds that change with the seasons: lavender, roses, and sunflowers in summer; fiery autumn leaves in fall; and cheerful pansies and herbs year-round. The air is filled with the soothing scents of fresh herbs, creating a relaxing, almost spa-like atmosphere. You can browse a charming gift shop with herbal teas, essential oils, and handmade goods, or unwind at the café while sipping lavender-infused drinks and gazing at Fuji’s majestic silhouette. Perfect for couples, families, and anyone seeking a peaceful yet photogenic stop, Herb Garden Tabinikki is where nature’s beauty meets warm Japanese hospitality.
Oshino Hakkai, known as the “Eight Springs of Mount Fuji,” is a charming village where crystal-clear ponds, fed by snowmelt from Fuji, sparkle like jewels. Each pond is so pure you can see right to the bottom, with koi fish gliding gracefully through the water. Strolling along its cobblestone paths, you’ll pass traditional thatched-roof houses, quaint bridges, and shops selling local specialties like crispy sweet potato snacks and fresh wasabi. Seasonal flowers add bursts of color, while Mount Fuji towers in the distance, perfectly reflected in the shimmering ponds on clear days. It’s not just a feast for the eyes—this place is a taste of old Japan, where nature, culture, and tranquility blend seamlessly. Whether you’re snapping postcard-worthy photos, sampling local treats, or simply soaking in the peaceful village atmosphere, Oshino Hakkai offers an unforgettable glimpse into Japan’s timeless beauty.

This was our first time in Japan and we traveled as a family of four with our two kids during the hot summer season. With the heat, a packed itinerary, and traveling with children, we knew we wanted a convenient and reliable tour service and Tours by Jano was one of the best decisions we made for our trip! We spent a week in Japan, starting with a red eye flight from SFO to HND. From the moment we arrived, everything was taken care of. Tours by Jano arranged our airport arrival transfer, all the daily tours, and even our final airport transfer to Narita (NRT) for our flight to Manila, for the next leg of our vacation. Having everything coordinated for us made our first Japan experience so much easier and stress-free. Our itinerary included: Tokyo City Day tour, Shibuya, Sensoji Temple, Odaiba, Mt. Fuji /Gotemba/Lake Kawaguchiko Tour and Kamakura tour and a few more temples and shrines, plus a dedicated shopping spree day for the family. Our shopping day was another highlight! They took us to Don Quijote, Ginza shopping district for some retail therapy, the Nintendo and Pokémon Centers for the kids, and even the Tamiya flagship store which my husband absolutely enjoyed. What really impressed us was that Tours by Jano is so much more than just a chauffeur service. Our tour agent, Jothe (aka “Kuya Jr,” as the kids called him) was our driver, photographer, tour guide, translator, and travel adviser all in one. He also thought us some Japanese words, as he drove us to places. He was always on time, incredibly helpful, and genuinely made our days easier. He helped us with ticket queues, translations, navigating busy areas, and even recommended local favorite restaurants instead of just the typical hyped up tourist spots. Since it was our first time in Japan, it was such a relief not to worry about constantly checking Google Maps or figuring out transportation. They knew exactly where to take us and how to get around, which allowed us to spend more time enjoying the sights and less time worrying about logistics. They used a group chat through Viber to include us their client, our driver and their admin to ensure seamless communication. Jothe also had an amazing rapport with our kids. He was friendly, patient, and fun with them while remaining very professional and courteous throughout our entire trip. He accompanied us on all of our day tours, and we actually requested him back for the next few days because he did such a great job with our family. GIno handled both of our airport transfers and was equally helpful. He even assisted us until we were fully checked in at the airport. Communication was never an issue because both Jothe and Gino were very fluent in Nihongo, so there was absolutely no language barrier as they interpret every conversation for us. We also really appreciated how professional Tours by Jano was even before our trip. Sir Al stayed in communication with us and even arranged a video call beforehand to make sure our itinerary was seamless and to reassure us that they were a legitimate tour agency in Japan. They regularly emailed us to review the itinerary, were flexible with changes, and made the entire booking process very convenient. We also appreciated having the option to use PayPal for secure payment. We used 2-3 different vans during our trips and every vehicle was clean, comfortable, and well-maintained. Traveling to Japan for the first time, especially during the hot summer with two kids could have been overwhelming, but Tours by Jano took so much of that stress away. Everything felt organized, convenient, and personalized. Our first Japan trip was truly memorable, and Tours by Jano played a part in making it such a wonderful experience. We will for sure book with them again on our next Japan adventure! Best decision ever! 🇯🇵❤️ 5 stars service without hesitation!
We are a family of four with two kids, and our son is on the autism spectrum. We carefully planned our Japan trip to make sure the experience would be enjoyable and not overwhelming for him. We found Tours by Jano on Instagram and were so happy we did! They were very responsive, flexible with their tour packages, and gave us lots of helpful recommendations to make our itinerary work for our family. We chose to do the Mt. Fuji tour and then travel directly to Osaka. It sounds like a long day, but it was actually a great option for us. It was comfortable for our kids, especially for our son who loves long car rides. It also allowed us to maximize our time in Japan by combining the Mt. Fuji sightseeing and Tokyo-to-Osaka transfer into one day. A special thank you to Mateo, who was an excellent driver and guide. He was patient, accommodating, and made the whole journey comfortable and enjoyable for our family. We highly recommend Tours by Jano, especially for families looking for a comfortable, flexible, and hassle-free way to explore Japan!
Great experience with our drivers and guides during the whole duration of our trip. They were polite, organized and very helpful. Traveling around Japan were smooth and hassle-free. Kudos to the whole team, namely Sir Hiro, Ryu, Juan, Angelo, Kelvin and Yuki.
My family and I had a lot of fun with the tours we did with JanoTours. We made a lot of memories with all the places we’ve been in Japan . Our feet were all tired at the end of the day, but ours smiles are wide and our hearts full . Juan, Darren and Richard were all amazing . They made sure we get to the best spots and were all comfortable. They were all very patient as well . Thank you Jano Tours ! You made our trip to Japan memorable and wonderful. Thank you for everything you did .
Our day trip to Nara and Kyoto with Tours by Jano was an enjoyable experience, thanks to our guide, Hiro. He was friendly, knowledgeable, punctual, and shared fascinating insights about the history, culture, and local traditions at every stop. He was flexible with our schedule and made sure we saw the highlights while keeping the tour relaxed and enjoyable. The only disappointment was that the van’s air conditioning was not working, which made traveling uncomfortable during the hot summer weather. Because of that, we decided not to book the same van for our planned Kobe tour and did it on our own using the trains. Despite this, we truly appreciated Hiro’s excellent service and professionalism.
Amazing Mt. Fuji tour! Everything was well organized, the views were absolutely stunning, and our guide was friendly, knowledgeable, and helpful throughout the day. We had plenty of time to enjoy each stop and take photos. Highly recommend this tour to anyone visiting Japan!
Had great experience. Tour guide is always on time.
Magandang gabi po, to the management of ToursbyJano, I want to recognized our driver/guide today, Mr.Domingo Nachor is an exceptionally hard working employee of yours. His professionalism and safe driving is second to none, he is very polite and knowledgeable of the areas we visited and also acted as our photographer which were not expected. I would highly recommend your company and Mr.Domingo Nachor as the driver to all of my friends and family back home who has intentions in visiting Japan soon and the near future. Maraming Salamat po for a great service especially to first time visitors like us. We’ll see you in Osaka this Friday!
