I had such an amazing experience. Marlon picked me up at my hotel, we went to Belen Market, he showed me so many things. Made sure I was extremely safe. Explained everything. My Spanish was not the best but his English is amazing. Very thoughtful man. We also went out on the water, he showed us Iquitos version of "Venice" and we met so many locals, had a few drinks on the river, engaged with local kids. It was a day I will always cherish. Marlon is such a genuine man with a heart of gold. He has a beautiful family, works hard and makes sure he provides you with a 10/10 experience. I would highly recommend and do this over and over again. Anytime I'm in Iquitos I will ALWAYS use Marlon!
My partner and I had a brilliant experience touring the Amazon River with our amazing guide, Marlon. He was incredibly knowledgeable, friendly, and helpful—he couldn’t do enough for us throughout the day. We absolutely loved having him as our guide. The tour itself was fantastic, with stops at some truly amazing locations that made the experience even more special. Overall, it was an unforgettable day that we’ll cherish forever. I highly recommend this tour to anyone visiting Iquitos, and we can’t thank Marlon enough for making it such a memorable experience!
The experience is incredible. Much better than I expected. Marlon knows millions of things and we were able to see many animals. I recommend bringing binoculars. It is a once-in-a-lifetime trip, I am very grateful :)
Marlon is an amazing guide to all things cultural and natural in the Peruvian Amazon! I spent a half day exploring local culture, and learned so much and saw so much. He’s very attentive to safety and everything about the experience, and happy to help you explore. I’ll definitely do another tour with Marlon if and when I get back to Iquitos.
Marlon is a solid, reliable, and very knowledgeable guide with well more than a decade of experience in Iquitos and the Peruvian Amazon. He's also a kind and caring family man, active in support of his community. He'll work with you to get the most of your trip. For me, I wanted to learn as much as possible about the area and wildlife and take good photographs. We've also kept in touch long after my very memorable trip. The butterfly farm is amazing, and the boat trip out to it is fun, too. You can see wild animals (lots of birds) on the way, and at Pilpintuwasi, rescued animals as well as many kinds of butterflies. I saw a jaguar and ocelot up close, as well as macaws, monkeys, snakes, sloths, and many other beautiful animals. You'll also see rare butterflies and see the stages of butterfly development. Highly recommended!
Marlon is the best! His knowledge of the area and his enthusiasm make for an unforgettable experience. Do not hesitate to sign up to explore and learn!
I had the most amazing morning with Marlon as my guide for a tour of Belen Market followed by Little Venice. Marlon is known by many of the stall holders in Belen market and so with him as my guide I felt completely safe and at ease in what is a pretty chaotic part of Iquitos! We wandered around casually, and being alongside him put me completely at ease. He knew the most interesting parts to show me and gave me explanations of everything we saw. As my Spanish is non-existent, I was very pleased and impressed with his level of English. Thank you, Marlon, for an unforgettable experience!
Good vibes, beautiful day with Marlon
Marlon is such a great guide. His English is great too, which was major for me because my Spanish is mediocre. I learned so much and had so much fun! Most importantly, I felt safe as a solo female traveler. Marlon is now a friend, and I highly highly recommend this tour!
Thank you.
Hi! I haven’t been able to take this particular tour of Marlon’s but having had the pleasure of taking his walking tour, I felt the need to endorse him. Marlon is kind, polite and knowledgeable. I’m sure this tour will be of the same high standards.
