Our family of four (15 & 17 yo daughter & son) all thoroughly enjoyed meeting this lovely family and spending the evening with them. From the splendid entry through the garden, to the precise and thorough cooking instructions, we came to understand life in an Italian household, through the eyes of an expert chef. The kids particularly enjoyed meeting the cats! And of course tasting the three pastas and tiramisu we made was an absolute pleasure, paired with a local wine.
My wife and I absolutely loved our evening with Ilaria and Samuel. This wasn’t just a cooking class—it felt like spending the evening in the home of friends who are passionate about sharing authentic Roman food, culture, and hospitality. From the moment we arrived, they made everyone feel welcome with wine, conversation, and a relaxed atmosphere. One thing that especially stood out was how accommodating Ilaria was with my tomato allergy. She thoughtfully adjusted recipes and ensured I could fully participate and enjoy every course without ever making it feel like an inconvenience. That level of care meant a great deal. The menu was incredible! We learned to make fresh pasta completely from scratch and prepared: * Perfect Cacio e Pepe * Spinach and ricotta ravioli finished with sage and olive oil * Ravioli with fresh marinara sauce (which my wife loved!) * Fresh bruschetta using beautiful local tomatoes * Handmade orecchiette with Norma sauce * And to finish, an amazing homemade tiramisu Every ingredient was fresh, local, and absolutely delicious. Ilaria explained not only how to prepare each dish, but also the traditions and techniques behind them, while Samuel kept the evening fun, engaging, and full of laughter. After cooking together, everyone sat down around the table to enjoy the meal with great wine and conversation. It felt far more like a family dinner than a tourist activity, and that’s exactly what made it so special. We’ve traveled extensively and always try to find authentic local experiences. This was one of the very best we’ve ever had and was easily one of the highlights of our time in Rome. Thank you, Ilaria and Samuel, for opening your home, sharing your family recipes, and creating such an unforgettable evening. We can’t wait to recreate these dishes back home in Texas. If you’re visiting Rome, don’t even think twice—book this class. You won’t regret it!
Being invited into someone’s home with a warm welcome was only the start. Then to learn about making authentic Italian cuisine from real, down to earth local people was second to none. The vibe was perfect and the banter flowed all evening, along with the wine. My wife and 2 adult daughters absolutely loved this experience!
This was one of the most amazing experiences in all my travel. The husband and wife were welcoming! Even one of their sons popped in to say hello. Sooo much good food and learning.
I cannot recommend this class highly enough!! Ilaria and Samuel were warm and welcoming and we felt like family. Ilaria was patient with us and I’m so proud of the meal we made! I’ve already ordered my pasta press so I can use Ilarias’s recipes at home! This was a joy and a special experience in Rome
This was so fun and unique. Ilaria and her family welcomed us into their beautiful home and we made delicious food while engaging in wonderful and fun conversation. Loved it!
It was the highlight of our trip to Rome! Thank you.
Ilaria and her family were an absolute joy to meet and share this especially memorable experience with! The food was delicious and we will be teaching our family back home how to make pasta now!
Ilaria and her family were such a delight to meet and enjoy this experience with. It was our favorite dinner experience in all of Italy. The food we made was delicious. The recipes were simple to follow and her instructions are very helpful. We took the recipes home and will be making them for our family!
Aria and her husband are amazing hosts! Their house is beautiful, with a warm and colorful personality. Her instructions were clear, her dishes are tasteful and the conversation was great! A highly recommended experience if you would like to try amazing food and meet great Italians!
