It was so fun! We made a wonderful meal together in her beautiful home and it wasn’t uncomfortable for a minute. You will enjoy it!
This was one of the best things we have done whilst in Italy. I would thoroughly recommend it. Maria and her family were amazing. An outstanding experience.
Our cooking class in Rome with Valeria and Valentina Best was the best! My teenage son and I took this class together and we thoroughly enjoyed it. Made 2 types of bruschetta, cacio e pepe tagliarini, and tiramisu. All steps were explained articulately (and often with interesting tidbits about the food or history) and demonstrated when needed but my son and I got to do the actual preparing and cooking, which is exactly what we wanted. Though I've always thought bruschetta is fairly simple to make, I learned easy ways to make it even tastier (ie. rub garlic on the bread first). Making pasta always seemed intimating to me. I'm confident now that I can easily make Italian quality pasta at home. The tiramisu was to die for! Valeria is so lovely - kind, warm, smart, and extremely knowledgeable about food (Valentina couldn't make it that day due to personal business). The class takes place in Valeria's home and it is gorgeous. Outside of class, she made homemade limoncello and shared some with us. Wow - amazing too!
Giovanna, our hostess, was exceptional! She made my husband and me feel at home. We had fun learning how to make homemade cavatelli, Italian appetizers and Tiramisu'! The company, conversation & wine was free flowing and enticing. We recommend this exquisite Italian cooking class 100%. The best meal we've had in Roma! Almost forgot... the sauce recipe was fabulous. I won't spoil the surprise, but LOVED it! Grazie Bella! Magnifico!
Very welcoming couple. Casual learning experience. Tasty 😋 family like atmosphere. The only complaint is having to fill out this questionnaire.
Marco was an amazing host. Welcoming and patient. His explanation of the ingredients and method was detailed. I would highly recommend him as a host.
Cristina Is the absolute best ….. a private chef with a zest for life - She welcomed us to her lovely home with a huge smile and a lot of enthusiasm - We cooked and we laughed not only learning great recipes but the techniques that gave them character - Her patio overlooking the olive trees and herb garden was a delight to enjoy the dishes we prepared - Hight recommended !!!!!
We really enjoyed our cooking class with Maria and Giorgio. We learned to make several pasta dishes that we will be able to share with our family. We also shared a delicious meal with them. Also this was more than a cooking class. It was truely an authentic experience where we were welcomed into their home and learned a lot about Italian culture and daily life. It was a highlight of our trip to Rome and one we will remember for many years.
While visiting Italy to see our daughter who was studying abroad, I knew I wanted to take a cooking class. I hoped for a warm, authentic experience in a Roman home rather than a formal cooking school, and Cristina provided exactly that—and so much more. From the moment we arrived, we felt like guests in her gorgeous home, nestled among six olive trees, where she processes her own divine olive oil. We prepared our meal at a spacious work table and enjoyed each course in her dining room, beautifully lit by the warm glow of the Christmas tree. The entire experience was simply spectacular. Planning this activity was a priority for our trip, but after three companies failed to confirm, Cesarine made it seamless, finding us a home cooking class just 25 minutes from our hotel. With Cristina, we made homemade fettuccine, choosing one of the four classic Roman sauces, learned to trim and prepare Roman artichokes, and crafted tiramisu from scratch. Cristina also welcomed us with bruschetta and wine to start the meal. Cristina is a wonderful teacher and host. She shared so much about Roman culture while eagerly learning about life in the U.S. as well. We left with full hearts, full stomachs, and memories we’ll cherish forever. If you’re looking for a truly authentic Roman cooking experience, this is it!
I had a very great cooking class and a wonderful evening together with Veleria and Valentina. We made delicious Italian food and I had a really great time.
