It was a really enjoyable solo visit. I did it in 1.5 hours while I waited for my companion to get ready for the day. The self guided tour comes with a handheld aid that shows you what the place looked like in the past.
The audio guide tablet was a nice touch - easy to use. It was very interactive. I got many information about Maria Antoinette. She was in this prison.
