◆ Explore the entire Toyosu Market with a nationally certified local expert guide Fumi, born and raised in Tokyo, with over 10 years of experience and strong local connections. ◆ Meeting at your hotel (around 4:30) Fumi will pick you up at your hotel. Enjoy a mini Tokyo tour along the way.
Tuna Auction Tour (5:00–6:30) Watch the complete auction process—from inspection to the bluefin finale at 6:30—from the closest spots, including the deck. We’ll enter right at opening to secure the best view.
◆Toyosu Market Tour (6:30–9:00) Fumi will lead you throughout the market, where you'll learn about the market, and Japanese food and culture. ●Enjoy a sushi breakfast at your choice of Daiwa Sushi or Ichiba Sushi, two of Toyosu Market's finest restaurants. Your seat is pre-reserved — no waiting in line. (meal not included) ●Explore the entire market, including intermediate wholesale areas, to sample and shop for authentic Japanese ingredients and souvenirs like Japanese fruits and vegetables, wasabi, Japanese sweets, green tea, matcha, miso, sake, nori, Kobe beef (wagyu), dashi (dried kelp, dried bonito flakes), kitchen knives, and tableware. ●Enjoy panoramic views of Tokyo and learn about the city's history and geography.
◆At the end of the tour (around 9:00): Fumi will either put you in a cab and see you off, or take you to the nearest station Shijō-mae Station and see you off.

Pickup Locations & Times
Hotel pickup Transportation to Toyosu Market is by taxi only, and the taxi fare is not included in the tour price in any case. Guests are required to pay the taxi fare directly to the driver. Your guide can meet you at your hotel and arrange a taxi. Complimentary pickup is available in the following areas of Tokyo: Chuo-ku, Chiyoda-ku, Shinjuku-ku, Shibuya-ku, Bunkyo-ku, Nakano-ku, and Minato-ku(excluding Takanawa, Shiba, Shibaura, Shirokanedai, Mita, Kaigan, Konan, Minamiazabu, and Daiba). More than 90% of foreign visitors to Tokyo stay in these areas. If your accommodation is outside these areas and you wish to be accompanied to the market, an additional pickup fee may apply. If you know your hotel, please add it in the 'Special Requirements' box. If not decided yet, just let us know once it's confirmed. Note: Shared tour pickup depends on the total number of guests that day.

Fumi was an excellent guide. We learned about the auction, what all the different people were doing, the fishing technique, the processing of the fish, the supply chain process, and that was just the beginning. We learned about many other Japanese foods and went to the market after the breakfast, where he taught us about knives, green tea, even earthquake building innovations. It would have been a huge mistake to have gone without him. I occasionally overheard some other guides and was so happy we had Fumi, because he was trying so much harder to give us a good experience. He even had visual aids and handouts we got to keep, which we did refer to later. It was a rich experience that exceeded my expectations, and special to have a human connection to Tokyo as well.

Fumi was an excellent guide. He arranged the transportation from the hotel to the market and ensured that we had the best possible viewing for the auction itself. He was also very informative through explanations of the actual auction process, hand signals and reasoning for bid pricing. Further he did a wonderful job of helping us to understand more of the Japanese culture, customs and history. It was a wonderful thing to do early in the trip as our schedules had not yet adjusted to the new time zone. The information provided also helped us during our travels in Japan. Excellent day.
