Best day of our entire trip!
We had an amazing day with Max last week. He took us to see so many gorgeous caves where he took great pictures of our family. Along the way, he pointed out landmarks and explained how the caves were created. After the caves, he took us to a beautiful calm estuary where we enjoyed a delicious picnic lunch that Max prepared with our dietary restrictions in mind and we got to swim and SUP. We all really enjoyed getting to know Max and my kids loved going speedboating at the end of the tour. Max also gave us recommendations for restaurants and other places to visit that we never would have found on our own, which made the rest of our time in the Algarve even better. We all agree that our day with Max was the highlight of our entire trip to Portugal!

Amazing!!
Nitika and max were amazing tour guides and hosts! They made this tour the best day in Portugal for us. The boat was a perfect size to be able to explore and see the beautiful caves and they even have a paddle board you can go on to get into the smaller areas to see. Both max and nitika have a lot of fun knowledge about the area and make sure you see all there is to see on this tour. They also take ton of pictures for you! While we went to explore on the paddle board we came back to a wonderful spread of fresh food and wine! Then we were able to listen to music and jump in the water. Max even has a fresh water shower on the back of the boat you can wash off with.
The scenery and views are absolutely breathtaking but truly Max and Nitika made the day! They are both so unbelievably sweet, friendly and personable. They were also absolutely wonderful with my 8 year old daughter. It was her birthday right after our trip and they even brought out a candle/ cupcake with a happy song playing over the speakers!
This is absolutely the only way to explore the Algarves!

Exceptional Service and an Incredible Cave Tour
If you’re looking for an unforgettable experience on the Algarve coast, book a tour with Captain Max. From the moment we met him at the Waterfront Bar & Restaurant in Lagos, his warm personality and genuine hospitality set the tone for an incredible day.
His boat was immaculate and clearly cared for with pride. As if the stunning scenery and beautiful cave tour weren’t enough, he surprised us with a thoughtfully prepared picnic and two excellent bottles of wine, which made the experience feel even more special.
Captain Max struck the perfect balance between sharing the history and geology of the coastline without overwhelming us with information. He was knowledgeable, engaging, and happy to answer questions while still giving us plenty of time to simply enjoy the beauty of the Algarve.
What really stood out was how accommodating and welcoming he was throughout the trip. He also shared fantastic recommendations for sightseeing and restaurants around the Algarve that we ended up using after the tour.
This was far more than just a boat trip. It was a memorable, personalized experience with someone who genuinely loves what he does and wants his guests to have an amazing time. I can’t recommend Algarve On Board Sailing Adventures and Captain Max highly enough. Five stars all the way! We cannot wait to come back to go again!

Incredible family boat trip.
We had an absolutely fantastic boat trip around the coastline near Lagos with Max at Algarve on Board. My 10-year-old daughter and I had a really memorable experience from start to finish.
The scenery was beautiful and Max made the whole trip even more special. He was incredibly friendly, knowledgeable, and genuinely passionate about the area, sharing interesting facts while making sure everyone felt relaxed, safe, and entertained. He made my daughter feel especially welcome and included throughout the trip.
The atmosphere was fun and laid-back. The boat is very comfortable. We have some great photos in the sea caves and swimming to one of the hidden beaches. If you’re looking for a boat trip in Lagos, I can’t recommend Max highly enough— We’ll definitely be back.

Awesome excursion!!!
This six-hour boat tour was one of the highlights of our trip to the Algarve. The coastline is absolutely stunning, with towering cliffs, turquoise water, and spectacular rock formations. Exploring the sea caves, including going inside several of them, was an unforgettable experience and gave us a unique perspective of the Algarve’s natural beauty.
Captain Max was friendly, fun, and knowledgeable, making the entire trip enjoyable from start to finish. The boat was comfortable, and there was plenty of time to take in the scenery and capture great photos.
If you’re visiting the Algarve, I highly recommend this tour. It’s a fantastic way to experience the coastline and see some of Portugal’s most beautiful landscapes. A definite 5-star experience!

Best boat tour ever
This past week we got engaged on an algarve on board excursion:
This truly was the best day of my life the whole crew max and Mauro went absolutely above and beyond.
We took a private boat tour which began with max stocking the boat with a wide variety and fresh fruits, wines, cheese and and complete picnic basket with snacks
My then boyfriend spent weeks communicating with the team to ensure I truly was surprised. The team maintained his secrecy while working with me to plan a complete trip itinerary. Max's knowledge of the seas and passion to the business is unmatched. Mauro waited patiently on the secluded island with stunning 360 views. The team set up a picnic and even did all the photography and videography for our proposal. When ocean conditions became a concern in the Lagos waters Max had Trasnport arranged for us without any extra cost to a beautiful estuary so our ride would be comfortable.
I will never forget what this team has done for us while maintaining a perfect balance of being professional and personal.
