Guide was very passionate about the history of the site. Tour took longer than it said which would have been great but 35 degrees so we left tour be four last site tour.
The description is 'Colosseum with Arena, Roman Forum, etc', but be careful, the Arena access is not included. When we arrived to get our tickets I asked the staff about Arena access and we were told that wasn't possible as it was Closed. When we got inside it clearly wasn't closed. Having said that the Audio Guide was good and comprehensive.
Georgia, our guide, was amazing and kept the tour informative the entire time. Would definitely come back.
Wear your best gym shoes the terrain in the coliseum is rough. If you come across n July or August be prepared for the heat, bring a towel you can soak in water along the way and a refillable water bottle. Our guide was amazing, funny, smart and kind!!
Really great experience! Highly recommend!
Amazing tour with our guide Andy! He added so much to the experience.
Flavia was amazing and very sweet. We went in June 2026 at the start of the heat wave. It was very hot. Flavia was extremely knowledgeable and passionate about the Colosseum and Forum. I learned a lot. She knew all the shady spots and aqueducts so we could fill our water bottles. She offered options for those that needed to rest and those that wanted to walk to beautiful vistas for pictures. Highly recommended this company. Meeting up with her was very organized too. We were a party of 14 split into 2 groups. No problems at all.
Tour company that we had through TripAdvisor “Vivicos Travel” were terrible. Advised 4 days from tour date that lower section of Colosseum now removed from tour & we could cancel if we wanted. Problem was peak time & there were now no tours available for date we needed so we reluctantly continued with tour. On day no one there from tour group identifying themselves with “flag”at as advised in sms at the time we were told. Just 100+ people from other groups crammed into side street which was a construction site. Finally found guide company who then said our “guide” was late & to stand over on the side of street. After 10mins found someone after asking people who ended up as our guide (no uniform from company) who gave us our paper copy ticket & instructions all in Italian (booked English tour)😳😳😳. He the walked us down to entry & said scan ticket at entry & use to get into Roman Forum as well & then left. When booked from Australia site said guided tour which ended up being that we just download app only & walk yourself. DO NOT BOOK WITH THIS COMPANY IF YOU SEE THEM. Terrible experience compared to other providers we had booked with during UK leg of holiday & others in Rome.
Excellent trip and fab energetic guide Georgia very knowledgeable giving you just the right information needed also very good at keeping everyone upbeat and hydrated despite the extreme temperature The only one thing u woyid say is myself and my teenage daughter works have liked a little longer in the colosseum to explore the upper level
We really enjoyed the guided tour, I think it is very worthwhile for the explanation, we had a guide named Patri who was very educational and made the tour super enjoyable for us, as a comment our tour was booked for an earlier time and a few days before they asked us if we agreed to move it later, we had no problem but it is a detail to consider if you are looking to book, otherwise recommended.
