Our tour starts with Trajan’s Column where you’ll pass through Via dei Fori Imperiali overlooking the Roman Forum (closed at this hour), the civic historical centre. Home to the bustling marketplace, ruled by moneylenders and shopkeepers, this was Rome at its finest. Here politicians held rallies before elections, soldiers marched triumphantly down the Via Sacra, and the Vestal Virgins decided if men lived or died.
See a spectacular view of the Roman Forum (from outside). Even the ancient Romans rarely saw the Colosseum like this: empty, peaceful, and cool. But away from the crowds, and with your guide on hand to fill in any details, it’s easy to imagine the arena as it once was.
As the Roman Empire expanded, so did the Colosseum’s spectacles. Enter the Colosseum after hours and enjoy a quieter, more atmospheric visit. Depending on the option selected, you may access restricted areas, including the Arena Floor. With fewer crowds and changing light conditions, enjoy excellent photo opportunities and discover ancient graffiti revealing stories of those who lived, worked, and gathered here.

Very knowledgeable guide. Was just the right amount of time. Definitely take the evening tour in the summer. Guide was good at keep us in the shade as much as possible... kept the younger kids involved and interested.
Scott was amazing! He was funny, engaging and definitely knew a lot about the Colosseum. We did the tour with our three teenage children, and they said this was our favorite experience in Italy!
Our guide Alba, was very knowledgeable and explained the arena, the reason for the colosseum was built. She explained the way people and animals were brought onto the arena floor, and pointed out that it was rarely a fight to the death. There are a lot of stairs, and uneven floor, so be warned! Bring water as the tour is very hot .
Alba was a great tour guide. She was very knowledgeable about the history of the Colosseum. We enjoyed it very much. Wear comfortable shoes!
Terrible management, I am not using anything from this app again, they don't give good directions and I lost money, I do not recommend it.

Excellent tour by an excellent guide. Carlo was fantastic , very knowledgeable and clearly passionate about the subject matter. Definitely less crowded and less heat than a daytime visit. We thoroughly enjoyed the tour and would highly recommend it.

Very misleading. The floor access. Is just not the real floor. You pay extra for nothing. Plus it starts at another location and you walk for 20 to 30 min just to get there. Want a full refund

We really enjoyed our tour and thought Rosaria was fantastic! She was so informative, kind and had a great sense of humor. My two boys really enjoyed hearing all about the gladiators and the naval battles.
