Perfect end to our stay in Colombia!
The Cloud Forest hike was the perfect way to conclude our two week trip to Colombia. The sights, (peaceful) sounds and fresh air were a welcome change after the hustle and bustle of the city. Our guide, Camilo, was so fun, friendly and knowledgeable. He has such a passion for ecology and nature and it shows. I would definitely recommend this tour and highly suggest renting the boots if you do not have your own. It was well worth it!

Fun excursion out of the city
Had a great time with Gabriela. Ended up being a private tour as we were the only ones! We met up with another local person Dora who guided us thru the forest, and Gabriela translated the information for us. Saw some great plants, waterfalls, and trails. Zero animals or birds 😕 Trail was pretty slippery coming down! Was a fun excursion out of the city. We are used to hiking so the trail was not hard for us,but would be tricky for nonhikers due to rocks and mud

Highlight of Bogota
Everything about the company was well organized from start to finish, but what truly made the experience exceptional was our guide, Gabriella.
She was warm, knowledgeable, engaging, and clearly passionate about sharing her country with us. We learned so much throughout the day—not only about the cloud forest and nature, but also the culture, history, and everyday life in Colombia. She made the experience memorable.
The tour was informative without ever feeling overwhelming, and Gabriella made everyone feel comfortable, welcomed, and connected to the experience.
This ended up being the highlight of our trip to Bogotá, and we left with a much deeper appreciation for Colombia because of her. We would highly recommend both the company and especially Gabriella.

Excellent day trip to Choachi area
We did a day trip to the Choachi area - the nature was gorgeous, the guides were incredibly knowledgeable and kind and accommodating. Hector drove us to the trailhead and told us all about Colombian wildlife along the way. Alexa led us on a comprehensive and awe-inspiring hike. We learned a lot about nature, history, and Colombian society. The guides were both from the area that we visited, which meant they were the best people possible to show us around. We highly highly recommend this company and the service they provide for allowing visitors to see a beautiful side of Colombia. Definitely check out if you are in Bogota and want to get out of the busy city. Thank you very much Andes Ecotours, Hector, and Alexa!

Book this hike in the Choachí Mountains
The tour led by Camilo was so fun and informative – possibly one of the most rewarding experiences I had while visiting Bogotá. The landscape is stunning (waterfalls, farmland, and the centuries-old Camino Real), and we got to eat native fruits and leaves, taste some farm-fresh cheese, and dig into the history of the region. Booking the tour was a breeze: Andes Eco Tours is friendly and helpful. Highly recommend.

Awesome!
Such a great hike, beautiful views and very knowledgeable guides. David was our main guide, and we were met by Hernan as well, who had tons of local facts and stories to add. It was actually not as strenuous as I imagined. Next time I’d try the more difficult route.

Escape to the mountain's
Great way to escape the city. Absolutely beautiful scenery in the cloud forests.
Really informative and helpful guide's.
My only criticism is that they didn't have a pair of binoculars.
What with all the bird life.
Operator response
Thanks for your review! We are glad to hear you enjoyed the Cloud Forest. This location is a hidden gem and so close to the city. With regards to the binoculars we do always carry a pair with us in the car but do request that clients let us know 24 hours ahead of time if they would like to use them since we may have multiple tours running at the same time.

Great hike, transportation hiccups
Beautiful hike! The guide was wonderful. The only major issue was with pickup. The driver arrived early to pick up each group, and told us he almost left without us because he didn’t see us. He left one woman and the translator behind. We almost reached our destination after an hour and a half of driving, then our driver turned around and drove all the way back down the mountain to pick up the people he forgot!
Operator response
We are trilled that you enjoyed the experience! And we are sorry about the transportation hiccups. All has been resolved and we haven't had a similar issue since your tour back in 2023. We appreciate your honesty and good spirits during the activity.
Best regards,

Great Hike in the Cloud Forest
Our driver Hector and Guide Juan Camilo were outstanding! They were waiting at the meeting point when we arrived and provided great information about the local area, Columbia's colonial history, flora and fauna we saw and Colombia's efforts to transition its farming economy to a more environmentally sustainable system. We had a great day hiking the Choachi mountains and exploring 3 waterfalls!
