Great excursion! Sebastian is an amazing tour guide. The hike was really beautiful and had great time! After the hike, the waterfall was so refreshing! Definitely recommend!!! 10/10. The food back at the starting point was so delicious and very affordable 10/10.
Alejandro Joanna and David were amazing so friendly, warm and welcoming they even gave us coffee when we got to the waterfall and snacks/fruit would 1000% do this again and recommend it to anyone who comes to visit

Our waterfall tour through the jungle of Evigado, just outside of Medellín, was led by Alejandro, Joanna, and David. It was such a beautiful and authentic experience! 🥾🌿 We hiked about 5 kilometers there and back, and while parts of the hike were definitely challenging, it made the adventure that much more rewarding. We made it almost to the top, where we were greeted by a gorgeous cascading waterfall. We were treated to fresh fruits and hot Colombian coffee before returning to the beautiful little farm in the lush mountains. There, the host family shared with us homemade guava candy which you’re able to purchase (HIGHLY recommend- it’s insanely delicious) and of course a well deserved cervesa 🍻 What made this excursion so memorable was how immersive it felt. It wasn’t just another tour — it gave us a glimpse into the natural beauty, hospitality and everyday life of Colombia. It felt adventurous, personal, and genuinely local. If you’re looking for an experience that takes you beyond the typical tourist attractions and lets you experience a deeper side of Colombia, I would absolutely recommend adding this to your must-see list for Medellín. This tour was fantastic! We had about a 35 minute ride from El Poblado to the starting point of the hike, where we had a brief bathroom break and opportunity to rent waterproof boots (I highly recommend this option!) and stow any items we didn’t want to bring on the trail. The trail starts out well maintained and relatively smooth, and you have some beautiful panoramic views of the city below. After a few minutes we stopped and our awesome guide, Sebastian, told us about some of the plants and animals we could see along the way. The trail then became pretty rocky, and we crossed the stream about a dozen times before we got to the beautiful waterfall where we had a chance to rest, enjoy some fresh fruit and coffee, and take lots of pictures. Once everyone was rested we made our way back to the starting point. The hike is about 5 kilometers in total with some very difficult sections including one part that was almost rock-climbing, but our guides expertly pointed out where to step and hold on. I especially enjoyed how Sebastian stopped frequently to keep the group together and give us lots of great information about the ecosystem and the history of the area. I didn’t notice how much exercise we did until we got back to the starting point and sat down to take off the rubber boots, but I was worn out by the time we got back. I’d recommend a nice lunch after this tour and an afternoon siesta! If you like to get “off the beaten track” a little and see some beautiful, undisturbed nature, don’t miss this tour!
Just finished the day hike with Sebastián and was really happy with everything. The knowledge and information about the local plants and wildlife were amazing. The pickup and transportation was simple and easy, I happy he even brought some fruit and tea for us to enjoy. There was also the opportunity to rent some boots - it's quite a wet hike, but very great experience :)
Amazing, I recommend doing this the first or second day. I went my last day in Colombia and wish I had time to experience more of these activity’s like this one.
This was a fun and different experience! I enjoyed the views as we were getting to the waterfall and the tour guide was amazing.
The site is beautiful, even though Medellin is a very green city, discovering nature reserves with lots of vegetation, landscapes and a crystal clear river, is a great discovery! The Guide to Alejo and Guri was very great, they were focused on taking care of the group, sharing as much information as possible and being kind
