Challenge yourself to climb the highest peak in North Africa in 2 or 3 days. The tour starts and finishes in the vibrant city of Marrakech, and includes transport to and from Imlil . We will trek with a local English speaking guide , a local cook and mules to carry our luggage. It’s a challenging walk rather than a climb, and anybody in good physical condition can reach the top. Make sure you bring your camera; the views from the summit are spectacular. Mount Toubkal 4167m is the highest peak in North Africa, and is a trekking peak involving no climbing two days involve walking in crampons holding an ice axe for security (Nov to April ) . The itinerary has been designed for keen walkers, as the ascent is non-technical, but involves some easy scrambling and snow slopes.

Climbing Mount Toubkal was an incredible experience, made even more special thanks to our exceptional guide, Mohamed Tsiou! A special thanks also goes out for the delicious food and the wonderful hospitality. Highly recommended!
Mr Hassene was simply incredible. His patience , kindness and consideration helped have me a profoundly beautiful experience. I would not have eeach the summit and back without him. Rarely does one find that combination of competence, patience and kindness. He eas impeccable with his service and trustworthy.
Walked Toubkal with Mohamed Tsiou. A local lad, who having walked the mountain since he was a boy was a great guide to have. He knows all the paths and the best routes to take when the conditions become a challenge. On hand with encouragement and tips when needed to make walking easier. Hisham also a great addition to the group in serving up some fab meals to keep you going.
Our guide was Mohamed Tsiou. He was quiet but friendly and I felt safe with him. We were in a small group of just the 7 of us friends who booked together. This was great and we had a much better experience than some others we spoke to afterwards who had been with other operators in very large groups of about 20. Pace was good. Mohamed shared interesting cultural info as we trekked which wouldn't have been possible in a huge group. Food was great veggies and gluten free catered for. Hotel was nice. Mohamed had arranged for us to camp outside the mountain refuge which was a great decision and highly recommend you opt for that - the refuge building was so busy and sleeping 20 to a room. We had 2 man tents and it was lovely. It was one of our group members birthday and they provided a cake to surprise her at the final restaurant stop after our hike which was a lovely touch! Mohamed also made a funny little video of us hiking in our party hats! And took lots of photos of us. Very grateful to Mohamed and especially to our cook!
Our guide Mohamed Tisou and our cook did a very, very good job! From base camp, we went to the summit of Jebel Toubkal for sunrise and to Ras n'Ouanoukrim in the late morning. 2 four-thousanders in one day! Exhausting but beautiful! Mohamed took great care of us! I can only recommend him!
We had expected a nice trip with primitive accommodation and simple food. We had a very nice trip, better accommodation, and plenty of fine, well-allowed food. The guide, Mohamed Tsiou, was competent, talked about the Berber way of life and his own experiences, which gave the experience an extra dimension. There were many tourists on Toubkal, but for the rest of the trip, we felt almost alone and always welcomed by both the involved tour operators and the local population. A very beautiful and well-arranged experience.
If you are looking for a trek team that embodies professional execution, absolute resilience, and genuine care, look no further than Adventurous Ewe and their incredible local team in Morocco. Our guide, Mohamed Tsiou, was the absolute standout of our expedition. Right from the start, his warm, friendly character put us completely at ease. When a massive logistical hurdle left us arriving in Morocco without any of our luggage or technical walking gear, Mohamed and the team didn't miss a beat. They quickly re-engineered our original three-day itinerary into a two-day trek with an afternoon acclimatisation hike, to keep our charity climb for The Hygiene Bank on track. Throughout the grueling climb, Mohamed's incredible local knowledge was invaluable. He knew the relentless, steep terrain inside out, navigating the scree and boulders flawlessly while managing our pace beautifully so we never felt rushed. His dedication to his clients is unmatched—he even lent me a pair of his own trousers the night before we set off when we discovered a hole in our rental gear! While Mohamed led the way on the mountain, the entire support structure was flawless. Karima, our ground contact, managed our initial luggage crisis flawlessly, working well past midnight to help us source essential items right after we landed. On the trail, our cook, Hicham, kept our energy levels high with fantastic, nutritious meals that sustained us all the way to the summit. A massive thank you to Mohamed, Karima, Hicham, the local Berber communities, and Adventurous Ewe. They turned a potential travel disaster into a successful milestone. We cannot recommend them highly enough!
I was a little bit nervous having been the only person booked onto the trip for the dates I'd selected, but I needn't have been. Right from the pick up, my guide, Mohamed Tsiou put me at ease. He made sure that he understood my condition and ability and altered the pace accordingly. He also we extremely helpful in making sure I understood exactly where we were up to in terms of the trek at every stage. As the trip developed Mohamed was full of insightful facts and points about the landscape and was happy to share his knowledge (which is extensive) ! As we built a friendship, Mohamed took me along routes that he knew I could cope with but that were not on the ordinary path, this was really cool! Throughout the entire trek and summit Mohamed cleary was looking out for my best interests and experience, from what i saw of other treks this might not be the case with other guide who seemed more intent on just getting up and down the mountain. Mohamed really took the time to make sure that my experience was second to none, because of this I have the best time and a seriously considering going back in the winter to experience Toubkal in the snow! In short if you want the best time, you pick the best people, and Mohamed is the best guide on the mountain without doubt. Thank you Mohamed! See you soon
Mohamed Tsiou made the experience unforgettable. He is exactly what you want as a guide when trying to climb Mount Toubkal. He values your freedom to explore alone, yet you never actually feel left alone or unsafe. He answered all of our questions and together with our 2 cooks made this experience amazing! Can only recommend to everyone who is thinking about doing this, be nice to Mohammed!! :)
We had the most incredible experience! From booking the tour and receiving all the support from Amina, to having our lovely and highly experienced tour guide, Mohammed, and the best cook, Ibrahim. The three of them made this experience truly unforgettable. Their kindness, professionalism, and attention to detail made everything even more special. We 100% recommend them! An amazing experience from start to finish! ❤️
