Our first stop is the magnificent Qoricancha Temple, also known as the “Golden Palace”. This sacred Inca site was the center of political and religious life, later transformed by the Spanish into the Convent of Santo Domingo. The contrast between Inca and colonial architecture makes it a must-see for history and photography lovers.
The Inca fortress with breathtaking views: Next, we will explore Sacsayhuaman, a huge Inca fortress with impressive stone walls and panoramic views of Cusco. Admire the grandeur of this UNESCO World Heritage Site and its impressive surroundings.
A sacred Inca site with mysterious carved rock formations, a subway chamber and ceremonial altars believed to have been used for rituals and mummification.

Overall the tour was good and our guide was knowledgeable and we enjoyed all the sites we saw! One thing I didn’t know ahead of time is that the tour is both in English and Spanish - so the guide alternates describing things between the two languages. We appreciated the opportunity to learn about real vs fake alpaca from an authentic source. Bring food/snacks!

This tour was half a day (approximately 5 hours), and covered a lot of different historical sites in Cusco. Abel was the guide, very knowledgeable and attentive. He made it a great experience for everyone!

We really enjoyed this tour - a wonderful way to get to know cusco and see some Inca ruins from the surrounding area. Our guide Victor was fabulous - very informative friendly and a great photographer.
