The “Chorro” section of the Naranjo River has Class IV and V rapids, for those of you looking for a more intense rafting expirence. Here we will run some of the best and most challenging rapids available in Costa Rica. Exploding water, steep drops, tight rock walls, and technical routes will get your adrenaline pumping. We will ride through the narrow canyons surrounded by huge boulders, and cascading waterfalls while taking in the breathtaking scenery of the rainforest, making this unique whitewater rafting experience the highlight of your Costa Rica vacation! This trip is recommended for individuals in strong physical condition! The tour is approx 4.5 hours from start to finish with approx 1.5 hours in the water. This trip include lunch, bilingual guides, safety kayaker, photographer (pictures available for purchase), and A/C transportation to and from hotels or houses in Manuel Antonio or Quepos.

We will pick you up from your hotel or house in Manuel Antonio or Quepos, bring you to our office to get you signed in and have breakfast. Then we will depart to the river which is about a 35 minute drive. Once we arrive at the river put in, you will be outfitted with a life jacket, helmet and paddle. The guides will give a safety talk, and you will have a swim practice. The descent down the river is approx 1.5 hours. After the rafting is over, you will ride in our transport back to our Amigos Del Rio office where lunch will be served, and then you will be dropped off at your hotel.

This trip was so much fun from beginning to end. The guides were so helpful, patient and knowledgeable. The tour itself was so exciting and the food was delicious. This was our first time doing white water rafting and we have been converted. We will definitely do it again I just wish I could do it again but there's no time :( Must do if you're anywhere where they offer white water rafting.
Let me start by saying if you are scared of white water rafting… this is the very BEST one to start with. It was my first time and the guides could definitely tell I was a bit nervous to say the least. But after the training session, and come the first rapid “Welcome to Costa Rica” , all the nerves quite literally floated away. It was such an incredible experience to be in the middle of the jungle in this great river passing along so much nature and wildlife. outstanding tour guides Jeison Martinez took me and my 12 grand daughter under her wings when I told him she was a little nervous. All the tour guides were amazing, happy, extremely good at making sure we maintained our safety. We had a great photographer, pineapple and cookie snacks along the way. After the beautiful morning on the water, we headed back and all had an amazing Costa Rica meal that left us satisfied. Five Star review for this tour.
This was great! It was my first time and it was manageable. The rapids were not aggressive so I felt safe. Great place for beginners or first timers.
