Badly organised, ignore correspondence

I paid for the 5 day (£407) trek but at 1.00am on the first day of the trek, had an email saying it was cancelled. Obviously I didn't get the message till I woke up at 5.00am to join the trek. I was told I could join a 4 day trek the following day at a lower price. I agreed and managed to extend my hotel stay for that night. The trek was good, but because I had been transferred at the last minute, I was not able to have anything carried by the mule. Luckily I was travelling light and had just enough space in my backpack. The other people on the trek had paid just £207 so on my return, I contacted the company to arrange a partial refund. I have now contacted them several times and they have completely ignored my messages. There are plenty of trekking companies out there, I would not trust this one.

Very Unique

I heard and read a lot about Choquequirao trek and was very excited to do this. Beware it is not an easier thing but totally worth it. I booke this tour with Karen and the night before the trek she gave me a detailed briefing and also gave me an introduction about the tour and guide. The guide was very friendly and we instantly connected which was a very good thing. The following five days were very challenging (with hikes) but the information and the sights were totally rewarding. The porters did a tremendous job and the chef who prepared meals everyday was very quick and it was the best meals i had in Peru. I never felt like those meals were cooked with a minimum logistics. I have no words to describe my gratitude to the whole team and with no doubts I highly reccomend this tour and Machu Picchu Peru Cusco company.
