Chobe National Park is in northern Botswana near the vast, inland Okavango Delta. It's known for its large herds of elephants and Cape buffalo, which converge along the Chobe Riverfront in the dry months. Lions, antelopes and hippos inhabit the woods and lagoons around Linyanti Marsh. The floodable grasslands of the Savuti Marsh attract numerous bird species, plus migrating zebras.

As promised this was an excellent experience. the guides were knowledgeable and experienced, knew the area well & managed to show us most of the animals listed. The lunch break was good with a buffet spread. After lunch we embarked on the boat trip on the river, seeing the animals close up that was not possible from land. All in all a trip well worth the money spent.

As an Asian and a first-timer in Africa, this is a must-do trip. I attended a workshop in Livingstone, Zambia and after the event, we decided to go on a game drive in Botswana. We looked for tour operators in Viator and decided on Royal African Experiences since they were the first to respond to our query and their listed quote in Facebook was cheaper. The tour was fascinating and informative. Questions on animals, plants, habitats, and even socio-economics were answered by the very articulate and knowledgeable guides (one on the Zambian and Botswana guides).
