Helpful and kind operators. The best and fun way to see Calgary. I liked it a lot.
I was part of a tour group that stopped in Calgary. As we were in Calgary for a short period of time, this tour was an ideal way to see Calgary. Over the course of the morning, we cycled around several areas of Calgary, with breaks available so that our guide could talk to us about important areas of the city. Our guide was attentive to the group and ensured the best use of our time. As there doesn’t seem to be hop on hop off buses in Calgary, I would recommend this cycling tour to anyone new to the city.
We always book city bike tours when we visit a new city and have always had excellent tours---until this one. Either Calgary is a very uninteresting place or our guide made it seem so. He was neither personable nor well-versed in Calgary history, culture, or interesting tidbits. At times, he had to read from a prepared script. It was a tortuous 3 hours. Perhaps our guide was a rookie, but he was not ready for prime time. At least the weather was beautiful that day.
Thank you for sharing your honest feedback. We’re really sorry to hear your tour was such a disappointing experience. We know when you book a bike tour, you’re hoping to learn something new, hear some great local stories, and have a fun few hours exploring the city. It sounds like we missed the mark on all three. Your comments about the guide’s knowledge, personality, and reliance on a script are especially concerning, and we’ll be taking that feedback seriously with our team. Calgary has plenty of history, stories, and interesting places to share, so it’s disappointing to hear that your tour didn’t leave you with that impression.
Tas and Stacey did an awesome job showing us the city of Calgary. We used the e bikes and they were easy to use, as we had never rode on one before. I would recommend taking this tour for anyone interested in learning more about Calgary and getting a close up view of the uniqueness of this town.
Our Tour Guide was Ross and he did an excellent job. The description of the event was as described. It was a wonderful tour on well-maintained bikes that lasted three hours. We stopped at various areas and got a little history. I highly recommend this for exercise, wonderful views and information about Calgary.
Great way to experience and learn about Calgary’s key sites with history and context for first timers to Calgary
Very articulate and knowledgable guide . Excellent way for a first timer coming to Calgary to experience the key downtown sights with insights , context and history . I really enjoyed it . Fun activity outdoors with Good quality bikes .
Great tour of downtown Calgary! This was our first time to the city, and the tour gave us a good overview of the city and its history. The bikes were in great condition, and allowed us to explore so much more than we could on foot. Caitlin was a fun and knowledgeable guide.
A great way to see Calgary from different vantage points. We used E-bikes. The ride is fabulous. Our guide (James) was very informative and kept a friendly pace of travel. Three hours went by rather quickly. Lots of stops with excellent commentary by James. Well worth your time if you like easy riding(one big hill) and enjoy being outside.
Russ was a great guide. He’s new to Calgary and seems to love it - even after 2 winters! I learned a bit about neighborhoods, history, and life in Calgary. Please book direct with Toonie Tours. Viator gives faulty pricing info.
