The whole day was just amazing from check in at the airport until we returned in the evening. I travelled with my daughter, son in law, 7 & 9 year old grandsons. The flight was smooth, our pilot Dill was superb both flying the plane and her knowledge of the area. The landing at the tiny Bungle Bungles airstrip was better than many big planes on long runways! We were met by Kaila and Tony who took us on a lovely walk to Cathedral Gorge where we had a delicious lunch and time to explore. They both explained much to us along the way & our rendition of 'I Still Call Australia Home' was hilarious. Thanks for such a wonderful day & thankyou very much for taking care of our dietary needs. Seeing the Bungle Bungles from the air was sensational. We all had a brilliant day, I highly recommend it.
Highlight of all the trips we did the most amazing experience including the scenic flight the walk to Cathedral cove plus excellent lunch
We were a group of 11. Wonderful … start to finish. Pete an excellent guide - knowledgeable, thoughtful, considerate and safety-first.
Knowledgeable and friendly guides, respectful of the environment and culture, substantial and tasty lunch, all blessed with great weather. Highly recommended!
Emma was an excellent guide; friendly, informative, energetic, and a pleasure to follow. The food was ok - not really my style, but the logistics of that is fully appreciated, so no complaints whatsoever. The walk itself is gobsmackingly amazing, and we are so glad to have invested in this tour. Thanks to Emma, Tiara(?) pilot, and all the team at BBGT. We have already started recommending you.
From start to finish the trip ran like clockwork. Our pilot Bec gave excellent commentary during the flight in both directions. Our guides Kayla and Corey were helpful and knowledgeable. The catering was better than we expected and the natural beauty of Cathedral Gorge was awesome. Door to door transfers at the beginning and end of the day were the icing on the cake.
This was an amazing day visiting the Bungle Bungles. Our pilot Emma and tour guide Pete were very knowledgeable and welcoming. The lunch and afternoon tea provided were delicious and plentiful. The only negative was the meeting point provided by Viator, it was the wrong address and therefore made us late to the correct meeting point. After standing around for 40 minutes we were very lucky Aviair contacted us and didn’t leave us behind
Packed in like sardines on the plane and then 28 people on the bus and tour. Very slow walk to one canyon. Then the plane broke and we were overnighted as they wouldn’t fly another plane in to collect us.
Wonderful few days with the Bungle Bungle Guided Tour team. We felt well prepared with info provided beforehand. Flights and views were amazing, pilot commentary just the right amount of information. At Savannah Lodge the managers were welcoming and friendly, hikes well planned and interesting. Eco accommodation was neat, comfortable and clean. Pool refreshing. Meals and snacks were excellent, plentiful, good variety, fresh. Waitstaff were friendly and well trained. We had an active and relaxing time. Very positive vibe, highly recommended.
A day where you start with preparing for your flight, the plane is small and handles around 12 people. Very cosy to get in but when seated easy to view scenery. Headphones connected to pilot for commentary and the flight plan down and back are slightly different to appreciate the different aspects of Lake Argyle, bungle bungles and on way back diamond mine no longer operating. The bus transfer from airport was great, you get you lunch pack (very good when you get to cathedral gorge.) The guides are very helpful and cater for breadth of walking skills, they are in lead and at rear to ensure all is well. It does get hot so be prepared including water. You will be pleased with the experience. The overall cost per person is quite high, but for those with limited time it is a wonderful and not to be missed experience. I certainly recommend it, make sure you have camera, some great shots.
Thank you for the wonderful review! We’re so glad to hear your day was filled with both beauty and adventure. It’s great to know you enjoyed the flight, commentary, and the guided walk - our team will really appreciate your kind words. The heat can be challenging, but we’re thrilled the experience was still well worth it. Thank you for recommending the tour and for capturing the magic of this special place.
