So close to town and beautiful and with great sign boards.. It was gorgeous to sit still for a while and notice, listen to and watch the birds, and listen for the land to speak to the heart.
Great information and lovely few hours with a varied tour
We had a very special experience with Chris and the team today. It was a very personal sharing of culture and history, bush wisdom and hospitality. It was like being invited to spend time with a friend rather than just being given information. The damper and honey was delicious and it was very special to be able to hear the didgeridoo and singing. We also enjoyed insights into the creative processes and wow, love the new textile collection that will be produced soon! Thanks so much for having us.
Our tour group did this tour twice and we loved it both times. I've also done the sunset tour personally, and love it too, but prefer this one. There is great information provided by the guides, as well as a Mantha (welcome), good homemade damper and information on the art centre and artists.
Thank you so much for your positive review and for touring with us again on your return visit.
I enjoyed visiting the Waringarri Aboriginal Arts centre, learning about their culture, and seeing their workshop & gallery. Our indigenous guide was very friendly and informative about rock art, wildlife and bush tucker on the walk but I was a bit disappointed that I didn't see more of the rock formations. Definitely needed more time to visit the park again to explore further. However...the tour organisers failed to pick me up from the Tourist Information Centre on time or make contact to inform me about any delay. The Kununurra Information Centre staff are terrific. They booked all my tours in Kunurra very efficiently and communicated clearly with me. And in this case actually took me out to the arts centre to make sure I didn't miss the tour. Perhaps there needs to be better communication from the indigenous arts centre.
Thank you for sharing your feedback. We’re truly sorry that we weren’t able to assist you as expected. On that day, several team members were unavailable, which unfortunately affected our communication - this was not the experience we aim to provide. We are updating our internal communication procedures to minimise the chance of this happening again. Thank you for coming on tour with us and for helping us to improve. We appreciate your patience and hope to have the opportunity to provide you with a better experience in the future.
Authentic and informative tour. The art at the centre is brilliant and Chris, the guide, is knowledgeable and humorous. A really interesting morning and a great thing to do in Kununurra.
Thank you so much for joining us on the Mirima Tour and for your warm feedback about Chris.
Very informative morning, with generous sharing from our wonderful guides. It will be fantastic when their museum is finished & opened!
Thank you so much for visiting and sharing your positive experience on our tour. We are very excited for the opening of the new cultural museum which is expected to happen sometime in the coming months!
