Brian was a fantastic guide! He is a local and was even a guide at the Massachusetts State House before joining this company. I really enjoyed learning about the Freedom Trail and the history of the pubs we visited. The only thing I would have loved was more variety in the ciders, but that's more on the pubs than the tour.
This tour was a lot of fun. Brooke was very knowledgeable and a lot of fun. Taverns were cool. Plenty to drink.
Great time, Kelly is super knowledgeable and friendly. A good choice for those that need breaks from walking.
Brian the tour guide was phenomenal. Very knowledgeable of history and old pubs and beer. Very friendly. Length of tour was perfect as well. We felt like we saw a lot of places on our list.
My sister and I had a great time with Brooke and Madalyn. They shared some great historic facts and brought together several stories about our Boston-based founding fathers in a fun and engaging way. They made it feel real and modern. Also, fantastic local beers!
Really great tour with wonderful guides! It truly is a great tour for those who love history, beer, or just having a great time in a historic city. My girlfriend (who doesn’t care for history nor beer) still enjoyed the tour and learned a lot of fun “trivia”. I think that the relaxed vibes of the tour was the most enjoyable part, no one takes themselves too serious and everyone has a great time trying new things. I would recommend this tour (and tour company) to anyone that asks!
A really great tour ... what could be better than combining history (and not just drunken history) with an entertaining guide and a chance to sit and enjoy Boston's best brews (a variety was offered at each of the three taverns) with family and new friends. During the two-hour walk, we were treated to the usual history of the old Boston downtown and also the roles the taverns played in the Revolution.
Awesime tour! Brooke was an amazing tour guide! She had great energy and was so knowledgeable! The beer selection was great, too! Highly recommend if you have a few hours and want to know more about Boston's history.
It was a terrific way to learn about Boston history and enjoy local brews. It was amazing to find so much history in such close proximity.
